Fake-Survivor 128

Chapter 128

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

After getting an introduction from Iris, Seria and I turned invisible and slipped out of the Gavrett estate.

We floated out of Iris’s room, heading straight for the “Amiras Merchant Guild.”

The problem was where to reappear.

But there, we’d left our carriage.

We could just get into the covered bed and drop the invisibility.

Any out-of-the-way spot would have worked, but it was still bright out, and there were people around.

 That was the plan…

* * *

 ”What do we do?”

Seria asked, her voice tight, staring at the situation before us.

The situation? Our carriage was in yesterday’s warehouse, but now it was surrounded by guards we hadn’t seen before.

We weren’t carrying anything important, so I’d told them a locked warehouse door was enough. Standard security.

I figured I could just pick the lock with Magic Armor and drop the invisibility if no one was watching.

But… we are helping solve Ms. Alicia’s problems, and Ms. Casa, who seems close to her, might have beefed up security.

And there’s that wooden box stuffed with ten thousand yen bills. The Magic Armor is supposed to be a secret, so I don’t want to use it in public.

Still, I can’t just leave the carriage anywhere, and I can’t exactly make it disappear in front of Seria, either.

The invisibility and levitation are draining my mana.

I’ve got some to spare, but mana is my lifeline, so I want to avoid wasting it.

They’ve put up guards, so they probably expect me to go ask Ms. Casa to unlock the place.

The warehouse has no lights, so there’s a window for letting in the sunlight.

It’s not huge, but big enough for Seria to slip through.

So… I’ll use the Magic Armor’s threads to open the locked sunlight window, let Seria in, and have her wait in the carriage.

”Seria, get in the carriage and wait. I’m going to have Ms. Casa open the warehouse door.”

 ”Understood.”

Oh, and there are some empty wooden crates. Hide in one of them.

Seria nodded. With her agreement, I sent her into the carriage inside the warehouse.

With Seria out of sight… I’ll return the crate of bills to magic, and find a place to drop my invisibility.

Two people and a large piece of luggage would be too eye-catching if we just appeared.

But if it’s just me, anyone who saw me pop in might just think it was a trick of the light.

 Right, then.

I checked an alleyway to make sure no one was watching, threw my cloak over my head to hide, and dispelled the invisibility.

 Okay, no one saw me.

And with that, I headed for the “Amiras merchant guild” store.

* * *

As I entered the shop and removed my hood, a woman came over right away.

Ms. Marisa… the mother of Ms. Casa, the merchant guild’s chairman.

 ”Welcome~♪ I’ve been waiting for you, darling♡”

Grab! Squish!

As she said that, she grabbed my arm and, without hesitation, pulled me into a hug, right between her breasts.

 ”Huh? Wait a sec…”

Of course, I was worried about the people around us and tried to ask her to explain the situation.

As if she knew what I was thinking, Ms. Marisa pulled me closer and whispered in my ear, explaining the situation.

”A messenger came from the Gavrett family a little while ago. It was a message from Lady Elina, and from what it said, it seems like you’re in for something wonderful♡”

Ah… because the “Amiras merchant guild” cooperated in resolving Ms. Alicia’s issue, they’re going to get a reward.

The plan was to get my original reward through the merchant guild, and if she’s explaining that, I can assume it’s because of my cooperation.

So, maybe she’s being a little too friendly.

Still, there are other customers around, so this is incredibly awkward…

Everyone knows Ms. Marisa can be a bit of a flirt, but honestly? She’s just putting on an act this time.

It’s a shame her reputation’s gonna take a hit because of this, even if it’s her own damn fault.

Either way, I decided to request a meeting with Ms. Casa ASAP.

”Um, I’d like to speak with Ms. Casa.”

”Oh? Not happy with me, darling?”

Mmm…

Ms. Marisa smirked at my words, then started rubbing her arms across her chest.

She’s good at making men fall for her──her own daughter said so. She’s clearly got my number.

But I can’t get distracted now. So, I put my hand on her waist, trying to stop her.

”In that case… you probably weren’t even planning to, right?”

Whap!

 ”Aah♡”

As I tried to grab her waist, she moved, and my hand accidentally landed on her ass.

It felt amazing. Firm, and bouncy, just like you wouldn’t expect from a woman with a daughter in her mid-twenties.

 ”Oh, sorry.”

I tried to pull my hand away, but she stopped me. And then, she pushed my hand back.

Grab! Mmm, squish… Mmm, mmm…

 ”Um…”

I’m practically getting groped, and I’m not sure what to do when Ms. Marisa gives me a heated look.

”It’s not just anyone… but it seems like it would be a huge gain for us. So, how about you get in the mood?♡”

I still don’t know the details about the reward from the Gavrett family, or how much it’ll be.

But if she’s saying this, Ms. Elina must have told her it’s a decent amount.

If that’s the case, then, as a thank-you for the benefits… I don’t really have to refuse, do I?

 ”Well then…”

Just as I was about to respond to her, I heard a voice behind me.

 ”Marisa, that’s enough.”

 ”Huh?”

I turned in shock, only to find Ms. Casa standing there──the president of the Amiras Merchant Guild and Ms. Marisa’s daughter.

 ”…”

She had a slightly annoyed look in her eyes. Did she catch on that I almost took Ms. Marisa up on her offer?

 Ms. Marisa pouted at her.

 ”I was so close!”

”Close doesn’t cut it! You’re interrupting something important, so knock it off.”

 ”Alright, alright.”

As Ms. Marisa replied to Ms. Casa, she released my arm.

The chill of the season rushed back to my skin, but just after that, the warmth of her other arm wrapped around me.

Tug, squish.

 ”Wait, what?”
