Mr. Escalion said seriously.
”It’s cool when a weak person tries to beat a strong one, but if the gap is too big, you can’t even hit them, right? What do we do then?”
That’s what I’m thinking.
I swung my halberd at Mr. Escalion, who stood still. It’s frustrating I can’t even scratch him.
It’s not that I’m weak, but high-level fighters are too tough. Being strong without armor is already amazing.
In games, you at least deal 1 damage, but reality is harsh.

When Mr. Gino touched the door and used mana, the locks opened one by one. It’s super protected. Even if the star vanished, the vault might stay safe.
The mana is the passcode, huh. I recorded it with my skill. I won’t misuse it.
When the door opened, it was a treasure vault…
”What a messy storage.”
Mr. Escalion muttered, disappointed. It’s understandable.
Items are on shelves but look like junk since they’re not sorted.

There was a foolish king.
He ignored the Goddess’s gift, monopolized food, and angered her.
A knight became a Hero, formed the Grace Knight, and executed him.
Mr. Gino says the king didn’t exist. But the Grace Knight was real.
Wall barley changed society. Many treated food poorly.
The foolish king may not be one person. The story was created to teach people.
But who taught them, and why?
If wall barley grows freely, isn’t a king unnecessary?
Now, the ruling class exists to fight the Demon King.
The religion teaches gratitude to the Goddess and warns against luxury.
I don’t dislike it, but I wonder why.
Now, the Demon King is gone. Heroes are reviving lost tech like distilled spirits.
Is this world deviating from a planned route?
”Were Demon King invasions frequent before wall barley?”
I asked suddenly.
”You’re wise. But be careful. Those who notice truths will perish, especially in human affairs.”

Wall barley and Demon King invasions are related.

The Whiskey Hero is a summoned hero who became a noble for making great sake.
He was a Japanese brewer and kept brewing after being summoned. He’s a fighter but skilled in brewing too. He’s a fine person.
”Having a dwarf packrat is useful. I only need wine, but I won’t refuse any alcohol.”
”Now you get it. This vault holds old artifacts, more precious than gold.”
Indeed, a mountain of treasures. Even with Radar Scan, it’s vast. There are blocked areas, so I can’t see everything. It’ll take years to check.
”What good old days? Now is better. Think about it, back then, no wall barley, so supporting a wife was tough.”
Mr. Escalion’s standard, huh?
But because life is easier, only handsome men have harems, and more men can’t marry.

Besides the fridge, there’s a vacuum cleaner, camera, and bicycle! Though the tires are flat.
”Is this from a summoned Hero?”
I get the camera and bicycle, but summoned with a fridge? That’s unusual. Were they moving?
”Oh? Did you meet Ginchi? Haven’t you asked him?”
Mr. Ginchi is a dwarf who hates dwarves. I never thought he was connected to Mr. Gino. The world is small.
”What’s your relation with Mr. Ginchi, Mr. Gino?”
”He’s my disciple. Also a junior of Zenom.”
I’m not surprised. It’s a story that could happen.
