”Noooooo!”
I kicked the covers and sat up in bed with a start, waking from the dream.
(This dream again…)
I was drenched in sweat, and my body was trembling from the terrifying dream.
(Ever since then, I’ve been having this dream frequently.)
I wiped my eyes, which were wet with tears.

I poured myself a glass of water from the pitcher on the bedside table and drank it in one gulp.

Kazumi grabbed my hand and started walking.

I couldn’t help but smile wryly as I followed her.

”You finally talked to me.”
Soaking in the hot water, Kazumi had been pressing me for a while.
It wasn’t in a forceful way, but she really looked worried.
Because of that, I had no choice but to tell her about the nightmares I’ve been having since ‘that incident’.
”When I’m awake, it doesn’t bother me at all… even when I remember it, it’s not a big deal. Hiroya saved me in such a cool way… it actually makes me feel hot just thinking about it──.”
I placed my hand on my lower abdomen.
”But you know… I think the ‘protection of my heart’ probably goes away when I sleep. I get tormented by that magic tool and the ‘fear’ of almost being violated fills my mind… and that turns into nightmares.”
”Tomorrow… you know?”
”──?”
Kazumi moved from beside me to face me, placing both hands on my cheeks.
”Tomorrow, at some point, you should be alone with Hiroya. You really need to talk. Nighttime──probably won’t work. Everyone’s coming back from the adventure, and they all want to be held…”
”Is that really okay? …I feel like it might turn into another sneak attack.”

I was so happy that Kazumi was thinking about me that I couldn’t help but tear up.

I might see that dream again.

I felt happy and returned Kazumi’s kiss on her cheek.

(Hiroya’s POV)
”Huh? Were you all here?”
Liz, Martina, and Dorothy appeared in the workshop.
”I was getting the ‘katana’ that Ms. Sasha brought adjusted.”
”Oh, we just happened to have something we wanted Toldo to look at too.”
In response to my reply, Liz said as she handed over 2 short swords, and Martina handed over 2 more.
”These! They’re loot from the dungeon!”
Martina happily showed me the short swords.
I remembered I had found a nice short sword too.
”Isn’t it enchanted?”
”Let me see!”
Kazumi and Rena peeked over my shoulder.
”Let me take a look… okay, let me borrow one.”
Toldo stood up from his chair and started examining them one by one.

Toldo takes off his glasses and smiles.

Liz lays out the two short swords she had on the table.

Martina also places her 2 swords on the table.
”They all have interesting effects.”
”I want to try making a weapon with magic attached someday too.”
”Grandpa, teach me the enchantment technique next time.”
Aluda, Meluda, and Eluda are all very interested.
”Well, I don’t have much more to teach about blacksmithing, so for a while, I’ll teach you about the enchantment technique.”
”So, Toldo, you can forge magic swords too?”
