Chapter 506 Lodging and Hot Springs

(Mira’s POV)
After gobbling down sandwiches at the morning market, we headed to the ‘Chick Gathering Inn’ introduced by the guild.
It was a relatively inexpensive inn that served as both a dining hall and lodging.
”For a double room, it’s 2 silver coins per person…!?”
”Oh…? Was it a bit expensive for young adventurers? If so, would you prefer a 6-person room for just 4 of you? That’s one silver coin a night…”
”No, we’ll take 2 double rooms, please!”
The innkeeper seemed to misunderstand Amel’s surprise and happily recommended a lower-tier room, but I jumped in from the side and requested 2 double rooms.
”I-I’m sorry… I was shocked by how cheap it was.”
”Hehe, it is indeed about half the price of the Royal Capital.”
”Yes… so, as this person said, we’ll take 2 double rooms.”
”Then here you go. We’ll settle the payment when you check out.”
Amel received the two keys to the rooms handed over by the innkeeper.
”My staff will guide you to your rooms on the second floor. ──Chris, please.”
”Yes. ──Now, everyone, please follow me.”
A woman who came up behind us bowed politely and guided us to our rooms.

”You seemed surprised by how low the lodging fee is.”
The female staff member in front was speaking to Amel.
”Yes. It’s cheaper than inns in other regional cities, let alone the Royal Capital. Are you making a profit?”
”Well… somewhat. We also run a dining hall here…”
The female staff member answered Amel’s question and suddenly leaned closer to his ear.
At that moment, Amel’s face turned bright red.
”This will be your room. The ladies will be in the next room. ──Or will you split into male and female pairs?”
””We’re separate genders!””
The teasing female employee made Ema and me instinctively deny it loudly.

”For the price… it’s not bad.”
Ema placed her luggage in the corner of the room and started looking around.
I also set my luggage down in the opposite corner.
I tried sitting on one of the beds placed on either side of the room, and the cushioning wasn’t bad.
”Yeah… the bed is soft, and I think I could sleep well.”
”It feels better than a 2-person room in a cheap inn in the Royal Capital.”
Ema rushed to the window and opened the curtains.
What I saw from the window was──the neighboring building.
A little bit of morning sunlight filtered into the room through the alley.

Ema gave a wry smile.
Once the sun rises a bit higher, the sunlight will probably shine brighter than now.
”Oh, the room looks the same as ours.”
Zamie walked in while looking around the room.

Amel approached Zamie to stop him, but… you’re in here too, you know?

”Sorry, sorry. So, do you want me to tell you what that employee girl said to Amel earlier?”
When I criticized him, Zamie grinned while apologizing.
”By the way, I heard something whispered earlier, right?”
”Hey, Zamie! I told you it was a secret!”
At Zamie’s words, Ema reacted and looked at Amel.
When I shifted my gaze to Amel, she was blushing just like before.
”Apparently, this place operates as a brōtḥel at night. ──Well, that’s why the lodging fee is cheap. That employee girl said…”
”Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!”
Amel shouted to drown out Zamie’s voice, but── well, I could imagine it.
There was one in the Royal Capital too.
An inn that combined lodging, a dining hall, and a brōtḥel.
Or a facility that combined a tavern and a brōtḥel.
This ‘Chick Gathering Inn’ is probably the same kind.
At night, I called out to the serving woman to invite her to ‘that kind of act.’
Of course, it would cost money since it’s a business.
It’s not a ‘blatant’ brōtḥel.
”Hmm… Amel, you were invited, right?”
Ema glared at Amel with narrowed eyes.
”Correct! They asked if you wanted to request a service!”
”…Pervert.”
”…Naughty.”
”I-I didn’t say I wanted to request anything…”
Amel shrugged and looked down at our insults.
”Well, Amel and Zamie can do as they please, but… if you waste money, you’ll regret it, okay?”
”Exactly. ──Anyway, let’s get going? We’re heading to the hot springs in Raetia now.”
Ema and I pushed the cheerful Zamie and the gloomy Amel out of the room.
Right.
This is ‘another enjoyment’ in Raetia.
We had promised before leaving the Royal Capital to ‘try the famous hot springs in Raetia.’
Apparently, it has effects like fatigue healing and wound healing, plus a ‘beauty effect’ as well.
”Alright, let’s go, Mira!”
Ema, holding a small bag likely filled with underwear and towels, was already waiting by the door.
”I-I’ll be ready soon!”
I also took out the bag I had set aside for the hot springs from my travel backpack and chased after Ema.
I had prepared it so we could go straight to the hot springs upon arriving in Raetia.

”Should we invite Amel and Zamie too?”

Ema and I knocked on the neighboring door to invite the two to the hot springs as well.

”Ah~ ♡ This is the famous ‘Raetia’s hot spring’♡”

Ema was completely relaxed, sinking her whole body into the hot spring.
I agreed with her satisfied voice.
I was really exhausted… both Ema and I.
Even so, we dropped our luggage in the inn’s room and came straight to this hot spring.
We were both looking forward to it so much.
By the time we arrived at the hot spring, I was so tired that washing my body felt like a hassle… but as soon as I rinsed my hair and body and sank into the large bath…

Gently… slowly… the fatigue from my body began to fade.
Amel and Zamie, who were probably in the men’s bath, must be feeling the same way.
”As for the fatigue healing… it was just like the rumors said.”
”Yeah. I… really like this bath. I could be buried in Raetia forever♡”
Ema murmured dreamily.

I agreed with Ema in my heart and surrendered my whole body to the warmth of the hot water alongside her.
