(Frieda’s POV)
After defeating the monstrous Manticore, the 18th floor boss, and gazing upon the shimmering mithril vein in the wall with my team, a voice boomed through the hall.
”This Great Labyrinth Raetia…has been successfully cleared by Famière’s Liz Team…”
Suddenly, cheers erupted from my companions.
”We did it! So Liz Team managed to pull it off after all.”
Mona Horngacher, the deputy leader of Frieda Team, was smiling beside me.
”You’re right…we also reached our goal for this expedition: the mithril vein.”
Yesterday afternoon, Laura’s Team, after returning from their mission, had reportedly defeated the 15th floor boss and reached the 16th floor.
We, Frieda Team, had set out from the 17th floor this morning with 5 miners in tow, and after a smooth progression, reached the 18th floor boss and our target mithril vein.
”It would be great if it’s a high-quality vein. Raetia, bustling with mithril fever…it’ll be lively again.”
While Mona started working on unlocking the spoils of war, Manuela Greiner, a porter, had silently appeared beside me.
She was putting the Manticore’s Magic Stone away in her pouch and observing the miners’ survey work.
”Mmm, the labyrinth being cleared means…the layout and monsters will be restructured.Well, the vein itself probably won’t change, but for the miners who come to extract it, a thorough investigation of the restructured 17th floor will be necessary…”
At that moment, the voice echoed through the hall once again.
’This is Wash, your new dungeon master. …Known as the Dragon God to the folks of Raetia.’
The miners investigating the ore vein, Mona working on unlocking, and members of Frieda Team checking their equipment exclaimed, “Oh!”
”So the Dragon God really exists… doesn’t he?”
Next to them, Manuela voiced her surprise as well.
(I think he was the deity worshiped during the Dragon God Festival…)
It seems the ancient legend about the water dragon saving Raetia from drought is true.
”Is the Dragon God going to be the new dungeon master?”

Claire Achnar and Berta Salzmann laughed together while inspecting their respective weapons, a spear and a hammer.
”Raetia expresses gratitude to the water dragon every year during the ‘Dragon God Festival’…”
”Ah, I hope we can build a friendly relationship with the new dungeon master.”
Fighters Warda Sauter and Tank Maddy Traeger stood up after finishing their checks and looked up at the hall’s ceiling.
”Though the dungeon master is changing… this labyrinth isn’t going to change. Have no worries. ── Adventurers continuing your exploration! Stay motivated!”
The voice of the water dragon, Wash, likely the new dungeon master, echoed louder and then fell silent.
”It seems there won’t be a reconstruction.”
”That’s a relief. Our previous research won’t go to waste.”
The magician sisters Amette Maeler and Bernadette Maeler let out a sigh of relief.
”Oh, thank you, Mona. ──By the way, have you heard this rumor?”
Manuela, who received a long sword as loot from Mona, whispered to me.
