Chapter 505 The Type to Finish Piled-Up Homework Early ①
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
Starting the very next day, I spent a few days knocking out the work that had piled up. Honestly, some of it didn’t even require me to show up in person, and there were other tasks where it probably would’ve been better to just wait and see how things shook out.
The first thing I tackled was the situation with our country’s next King, Prince Roland, and Lady Unia, the daughter of the Duke of Greter. They’d been caught in the heat of their “first kiss,” and I’d been personally asked by the Queen herself to look into it.
But a question kept nagging at me. Setting aside the sheltered Prince, would someone as sharp as Lady Unia really make a rookie mistake like letting someone witness them kissing? Besides, there was no way to prove it was actually a “first kiss” other than their own word. For all I know, they’re constantly making out all over the place and just happened to get spotted this time. Or, if I wanted to be a bit cynical, maybe Lady Unia put on a show to lock down her spot as the future Queen…
Well, I won’t know for sure until I talk to them. I wanted to give the kid some advice anyway, so I had a meeting arranged and headed to the royal palace.
”N-No! You’ve got it all wrong, Kento-san! That was—it was a total accident! I just tripped, and Unia caught me, and then…!”
Yeah, okay. He’s fine. I could tell because while the Prince was desperately trying to plead his case, Lady Unia was standing right there beside him. Her face was flushed a deep, unmistakable crimson as she looked everywhere but at the man she loved.
I didn’t realize Prince Roland had the Lucky Pervert¹ trait in him. Not bad, kid… (Not bad at all…)
”Alright, alright, I get it,” I said, calming him down before asking Lady Unia to step out for a moment. Facing the Prince, who looked like he still had a mountain of excuses to climb, I decided to pivot my advice.
”Look, what’s done is done. Accident or not, a kiss is a kiss. You stole the lips of a beautiful Lady of the Dukedom; now you need to take responsibility and give her one back on purpose.”
”Wha—!? I-Is that really okay? Can I actually do that…?”
”It’s not about being ‘okay.’ As a man, you have to do it,” I replied. “An accidental first kiss might be romantic in a clumsy way, but trust me, she wants a do-over that actually counts.”
”I… I see…”
”Just don’t get caught next time. And don’t get too greedy, alright? Though, looking at her, she’d probably let you get away with anything…”
”I won’t! I would never do something like that!!!”
”Also, if you ever need contraceptives, come to me. Don’t you dare try to hide it. And for the record, washing it out with water doesn’t do a damn thing.”
”For the last time, I am not doing that!!!!”
And that concluded today’s s*x ed session. In reality, Lady Unia has a maid with her that Ferguson sent, so they wouldn’t really have the chance for anything major, but the maid would probably look the other way for a simple kiss. My only worry was that a lovestruck Lady Unia might try to force the issue, but she didn’t look like she was quite there yet. Still, just in case things take a turn, I told the Prince to report to me immediately. I gave my update to the Queen and called that a job well done.
Since I was already at the palace, I figured I’d kill two birds with one stone. After reporting on the Prince, I sat down with Her Majesty and the Holy Figure² to talk about the Church. Apparently, they’ve been getting a lot of heat regarding the new rules for nuns being allowed to marry.
”Honestly, Kento… do you have to be so incredibly blunt? You couldn’t have, I don’t know, found a more indirect way to put it?”
”It’s better this way,” I replied. “It’s not something to be ashamed of or treated like a secret. If anything, it’s a bigger problem if I beat around the bush and the message doesn’t land.”
”Hmph. Well, I suppose you have a point…”
We were in the Queen’s usual office. After I finished the update on the Prince, she let out a sigh. She’s usually pretty open-minded about s*x and how the Prince is raised, but I guess when it comes to her cute little brother, she still has some hang-ups. Well, that’s exactly why she called me. She couldn’t exactly lecture him herself—getting dating advice from an older sister that much older than you is basically the same as getting it from your mom. The only other options were the soldiers who teach him combat, or a bunch of old guys like the Prime Minister or Duke Badcage. The former would be way out of their league, and the latter would just make it a whole formal ordeal.
”Being the big sis is tough, huh?”
”Don’t tease me, Ro,” the Queen said.
”Yeah, yeah. But hey, isn’t it about time you let me meet with him again? It’s a big deal, you know? The relationship between the future King and the head of the Church is vital.”
”That’s only because you tried to treat Roland like a pampered house cat,” the Queen replied. “Lady Unia-jou is already on her guard against you.”
”But come on, he looks exactly like Satchan! He’s so cute!”
The one butting in was the Holy Figure herself, Loire-Rose. It seems the dynamic between the Prince and the Holy Figure isn’t “Future King and Religious Leader” so much as “My friend’s little brother and my sister’s friend.” (Yeah… if a girl like her starts clinging to him, it’s going to wreck the kid’s preferences for life.) The Queen and Lady Unia were right to be worried.
”Setting that aside, what’s the word on the Church?”
”Ah, yeah. Honestly, Kento-cchi~, you don’t really need to sweat it too much~” Rose said.
I tried to get us back on track before it devolved into pure gossip, but Rose just brushed it off with a smile. However, I wasn’t dropping it. “I can’t just ignore it. I’m involved in this too.”
”I mean, yeah, but those people are going to pick a fight with me no matter what I say,” Rose admitted.
Rose was still being vague. When people hide things like that, it usually makes me more suspicious, but the Queen stepped in to help. Though, it was more of a jab at Rose than a helping hand.
”…Ro, look at you. You’ve suddenly turned into quite the woman, haven’t you?”
”Hey! We said we weren’t going to talk about that, Satchan!” Rose cried.
”…Meaning what, exactly?” I asked.
”It means she doesn’t want to worry you unnecessarily,” the Queen said. “And also…”
”And also?”
”……”
The Queen didn’t finish her sentence. Instead, she laid out the details. Between Her Majesty and a very fidgety Rose, the facts came out: the marriage issue for nuns is being debated in churches everywhere, and right now, consensus is split down the middle. The ones leading the charge against it are the same people who were whining that the Holy Figure wasn’t doing her job during the Stampede—basically, Rose’s political rivals in the Holy City.
To them, the growing closeness between the Holy Figure Loire-Rose and the Saint, Sister Amelia, is a nightmare. It robs them of their excuse to criticize Rose and makes her position untouchable. They can’t let that happen. For that same reason, they refuse to acknowledge the ceasefire between the Kingdom of Canaria and the Wielope Empire, even though Rose was the one who brokered it. As a result, her political standing is going to stay shaky for a while. The only way to fix it is to slowly build up a circle of allies who actually give her the credit she deserves.
”Well, thanks to Rayla-cchi~, we should be able to make it work somehow~” Rose added.
”That’s the gist of it,” the Queen noted. “The shadows Carley is moving were the ones agitating that opposition in the first place. It sticks in my craw a bit, but it is what it is.”
”No need to get mad, Satchan. Rayla-cchi~ is being great to me, so I don’t really mind~”
I had a few things I wanted to call out—like Rose calling Carley “Rayla-cchi~” or the fact that the Queen just calls her “Carley” without any titles—but it was clear the friendship between the Queen and Rose was the real deal. Or so I thought, until…
”You’ve got a lot of nerve…” the Queen muttered. “Weren’t you the one crying about how you didn’t want Kento to think you were less useful than Carley?”
”SATCHAAN!?”
Yeah, friendship between women. Warm, but absolutely brutal.

Summary:
Kento begins clearing his backlog of royal tasks, starting with the fallout of Prince Roland and Lady Unia’s ‘accidental’ kiss. After providing the Prince with blunt relationship and s*x education, Kento transitions to political matters involving the Church’s opposition to nun marriage. He discovers that Rose (the Holy Figure) is facing domestic political pressure from rivals who seek to undermine her newfound influence and her alliance with the Kingdom’s ‘Shadows.’
—
Trivia:
- Unia’s ‘cleverness’ being caught in a kiss suggests she may be manipulating the Prince to secure her throne, adding a layer of political intrigue to their romance.
- The Queen’s unfinished sentence about Rose’s motivation implies deeper romantic feelings for Kento that the Queen is starting to notice.
- The mention of ‘Shadows’ being used to pacify opposition suggests a shift toward more covert, underhanded governance in the Kingdom
—
Character Insight:
The dynamic between Rose and the Queen is revealed to be a deep childhood friendship, humanizing the two high-ranking leaders. Rose’s competitive streak with Carley highlights her desire to be perceived as ‘useful’ and capable in Kento’s eyes, shifting her from a carefree figure to a more driven one.
—
Lore And Worldbuilding Context:
The Church of the Holy City is not a monolith; it contains internal factions that prioritize political power over religious reform. The ‘Saint’ and ‘Holy Figure’ alliance is a significant power shift that threatens the old guard, explaining the pushback against the marriage of nuns.
—
TL Notes:
The choice to keep ‘-cchi’ and ‘-jou’ in dialogue preserves the specific social registers of the characters—Rose’s bubbly slang and the Prince’s formal distance—while titles like ‘Holy Figure’ are localized to ensure the reader understands their societal weight.

Glossary:
Notes:
• Roland – Prince and younger brother of both Queen Cecile and the King of Ferguson, heir to the Canaria throne. He sports clean golden‑blonde hair matching the queen, an innocent, delicate face that could be mistaken for a girl, yet dresses in formal boy’s attire. Close to Unia.
• Unia – Third daughter of the Duke of Greter, head of the Ferguson delegation. She has blonde hair styled intricately, a dol‑like beauty, an expressionless face, and is noted for her sharp, perceptive demeanor.
• Kento – Lord Harvest, a dark‑haired Japanese salaryman resembling Kazuma Satō, runs a magic‑tool shop with a hidden adult‑circuit line. He wears a left‑ring finger band, boasts a 7‑for‑7 impregnation record, and lives in the Dildo‑Buddy Mansion. Confined in a basement with Amelia, he balances a harem, ties to the Queen, and a recent Great Dragon victory.
• Loire-Rose – Current Saintess and top of the Great Cathedral food chain. White hair, pale skin, blue eyes—the full divine aesthetic. Can literally manifest light and blessings, but don’t let the holy glow fool you. She’s pragmatic, money‑minded, and way too playful for church politics. Runs a workshop (yeah, even sells adult goods on the side) and keeps her “holy” mask on… most of the time. Originally born to a Salvation Faction family, later adopted by the previous Holy Figure. Total mix of divinity and chaos, and somehow it works.
• Amelia – Light‑blue‑haired Sister of the Canarias convent, a saintly, shy nun and Kento’s lover, wears his ring on her left finger. She blushes with red‑tinted ears and neck, has a voluptuous figure—among the shop’s women she ranks among the top one or two in breast size—and quietly runs soup kitchens and shop stock in the traditional habit. The only sister not yet pregnant, she visited the protagonist to conceive a child, driven by strong religious conviction.
• Ray – A Viscount with flaxen-gold hair in a men’s wolf cut. Possesses a sweet mask and a prince-like aura. It is revealed at the end that Ray is actually a woman. She has started manufacturing and selling adult goods similar to Kento’s products in the Royal Capital’s pleasure district.
• Carley – Ancient elf Captain of the Wielope Empire, known as Haha‑sama, sports youthful elven beauty with long autumn‑leaf green hair and a flat‑chested soft form. She’s a blunt, pragmatic matriarch to assassins and royalty (e.g., Emperor Dee‑bou, Gustav), grants Forest Blessings, influences church‑state talks, and remains chill even under magic or tentacle restraints.
