However, the cross-dressing beauty continued to smile faintly, completely ignoring it.
As a result, the only ones who could move were the other first-class exorcists.
”That’s enough, young Kazuramichi.”
A woman stood up, facing Naoshi.
”Grandma, are you going to interfere? I just wanted to ask about the future.”
”Then I’m telling you to put away that dangerous spirit energy.”
Matsurida Kirino, a determined woman supporting Nara as a first-class exorcist even at the same age as the retired Kazuramichi Yoshitora 6 years ago, said resolutely.
”Is that the attitude of someone discussing their future? It doesn’t look that way to me.”
Her slender body was poised, standing tall, but before the tall Naoshi, the difference in presence was stark as if comparing an adult to a child.
”Well, you can say anything, but if you’re going to start a public execution right before me, I’ll stop you. If you want me to look the other way, be a bit more graceful about it.”
To lend support, a stoutly built elderly man with short, white hair──Narita Tadayasu──stood beside her.
His deep-set eyes shone sharply, suggesting a certain amusement at the situation.
”So, even old Narita…?”
Naoshi sighed.
Kirino wielded her fists, Tadayasu brandished a sword, and both, like Naoshi, were exorcists adept in close combat.
They had survived decades of battles against ayakashi, truly monstrous figures.
Even in their old age, they were not to be underestimated.
”You see, I do hold a spirit of respecting the elderly, you know? I can’t exactly bully the old folks from my great-uncle’s generation.”
However, without giving an inch before the two of them, Naoshi scratched his head and said.
”What respect is in that? Doesn’t Yoshitora at least purchase a dictionary?”
”It’s exasperating; this is why Kazuramichi men are──bring in Tora or Yoshiya. Just get someone who can understand.”
”The fact that you can say that to me is genuinely deserving of respect, isn’t it? You’re not like those feeble-minded folks over there.”
”…What a mouthy little boy.”
”At least my nephews aren’t stupid enough to pick fights like idiots──though, I can’t say I don’t understand your feelings, boy.”
Saying this, Kirino glanced back at Touin Soji.
Whether his stillness was an act or a true display of resolve was something Kirino couldn’t quite gauge, even with her experience.
”──Are you reconsidering?”
”No. I need to hear a clear answer from you right here and now.”
With a deep sigh, Kirino lowered herself into a stance.
At the same time, the head of the Narita family threw a sword toward Yoriyasu.
”Then I’ll use force.”
”How long has it been? It’s rare for such a fool to show up at a meeting of the 8 families…”
”──Naoshi, should we lend a hand?”
The quiet words of Mibu Itsuki further heightened the tension.
Ignoring the protests of the flustered head of the Niwazono family, she placed her hand on the hilt and stood up.
”Hey, hey, are there 2 fools now? What’s going on? Give me a break.”
”Mibu, what are you planning?”
The cross-dressing beauty responded coolly to the now pale-faced elders.
”It’s not fair to have one against 2, is it?”
”I don’t need it; this is my fight.”
However, Kazuramichi Naoshi rejected her proposal.
He quietly raised his spirit energy, intensifying its pressure.
”If you think 2 old-timers can hold me down now, I’ll just teach you the meaning of ‘old man’s folly.’”
”──Hey. While arrogance is a privilege of the young, you’re going a bit overboard, Tadataka’s grandson.”
Naoshi finally laughed at Yoriyasu’s intimidating words.
”Hah, how long are you going to cling to that dead old man? It’s pathetic. Are you really thinking of yourself as 30 years ago?”
”You’re going to die,” Naoshi said, unleashing a storm of lightning that raged through the room.
At this point, Kirino and the others could no longer back down.
It seemed an clash was inevitable when──
”That’s enough, Naoshi.”
At the voice of someone who shouldn’t be there, Naoshi’s movements came to a halt.
He slowly turned around.
”──The head of the family.”
Ahead, there was the figure of Tadayuki, the head of the Kazuramichi family, being supported by Kanbe Yuzura.

Summary:
The scene takes place in a meeting of the 8 families, where Kazuramichi Naoshi, a young man, is confronting Touin Soji, a cross-dressing beauty. Naoshi is radiating spirit energy, and the other first-class exorcists present are the only ones who can move. One of them, Matsurida Kirino, a determined woman and a first-class exorcist, stands up to face Naoshi.
Kirino tells Naoshi to put away his spirit energy, warning him that if he starts a public execution, she will stop him. Naoshi responds that he is only asking about his future, but Kirino is skeptical. She is supported by Narita Tadayasu, the head of Narita family, a stoutly built elderly man with short, white hair, who stands beside her.
Naoshi sighs, recognizing that Kirino and Tadayasu are not to be underestimated, having survived decades of battles against ayakashi. He tries to reason with them, but Kirino is unsympathetic, saying that Naoshi’s attitude is not one of someone discussing their future.
The situation escalates, with Kirino and Tadayasu preparing to use force against Naoshi. Mibu Itsuki, a quiet and reserved woman, offers to lend a hand, but Naoshi refuses her help. The tension in the room continues to build, with the head of the Niwazono family protesting the violence.
Naoshi raises his spirit energy, intensifying its pressure, and prepares to fight Kirino and Tadayasu. He taunts them, saying that they are no match for him and that they are clinging to the past. Yoriyasu, the head of the Yoriyasu family, tries to intimidate Naoshi, but Naoshi just laughs and unleashes a storm of lightning that rages through the room.
Just as it seems that the fight is about to begin, Naoshi is stopped by the arrival of his grandfather, Tadayuki, the head of the Kazuramichi family. Tadayuki is supported by Kanbe Yuzura, and Naoshi’s movements come to a halt.
It is unclear what will happen next, but it is clear that the situation has been defused, at least for now. Naoshi’s confrontation with Kirino and Tadayasu has been interrupted, and it is unclear what consequences Naoshi will face for his actions.
Throughout the scene, Naoshi has been portrayed as arrogant and impulsive, convinced of his own abilities and willing to take on the older, more experienced exorcists. Kirino and Tadayasu, on the other hand, are shown to be wise and experienced, trying to prevent Naoshi from making a mistake.
Naoshi’s words to Yoriyasu, saying that he should not cling to the past, seem to be a manifestation of his arrogance and sense of superiority. This attitude is likely to get him into trouble, and it will be interesting to see how he reacts to being stopped by his grandfather.
