Volume 13 Chapter 255-2 Shirogane Kanon, Three Sisters And a Cultural Festival
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
”Hee. Compared to Stars’ school, it’s a bit smaller, but that makes the students feel closer.”
It was true. The schools we nobles went to always had these super tall ceilings, long wide hallways, and huge open spaces that felt kind of wasteful. But now that I thought about it, Japanese schools are so compact and easy to move around in. They’re really nice.
Onee-sama stopped walking and looked into a nearby classroom.
”A student experience room? What’s that?”
”Want to check it out?”
”Yes, let’s.”
The three of us—me, Onee-sama, and Hermie—stepped inside, and everyone in the room immediately turned to look at us.
”The three former princesses of Stars, together!?”
”Wahh, the royal aura is insane.”
”The pressure when all three are here is off the charts.”
Oh. I see how it is.
Looks like this classroom has a shop where you can borrow Otomezaki’s uniforms.
”Hehe, since we’re here, Onee-sama, want to try one on?”
”Eek!? M-me!?”
While Onee-sama panicked, Haa walked past her calmly.
”Do they really have kid-sized uniforms?”
”Of course. Want to try one?”
Haa nodded at the upperclassman running the shop.
Hehe. Looks like Haa wants to wear one. What about Onee-sama?
”I-I’m almost thirty… Wearing a school uniform now is a bit…”
But I could tell she was interested. She kept sneaking looks at the uniforms from earlier. If I just gave her a little push…
Then I felt two strong stares coming from the classroom entrance.
”Stare…”
Aqua!? And Emily-senpai too!? Why are you two even here!?
Emily-senpai locked eyes with me, then walked straight over.
”Victoria-sama, please. Just this once. For Aqua-sama’s sake. Isn’t there something you can do?”
”Something? What do you mean—wait, what!?”
She pointed at Aqua, who was peeking in from behind the door frame.
”Look at Aqua-sama’s face! If Victoria-sama doesn’t wear the uniform, he’s gonna cry! You’re fine with that!? You’re okay making Aqua-sama cry!?”
”Ugh…”
Don’t fall for it, Onee-sama. This is their usual routine.
I wanted to save her, but… this time, I’ll side with Aqua and Emily-senpai. Honestly, I’d love to wear uniforms with them and take a bunch of photos.
Seeing Onee-sama’s hesitation, the nearby students began closing in.
”Victoria-sama, steel yourself.”
”Aqua-kun loves older girls in school uniforms more than food.”
”He cried when Sugita-sensei wore one!”
”He also cried when Sugita-sensei wore a school swimsuit!”
”That kid fist-pumped when girls showed up in summer uniforms!”
”That’s why everyone’s been wearing summer uniforms since April! Even though they’re getting tight!”
Wow. I could see my school uniform anytime I wanted… but suddenly I was a bit jealous.
Just then, Aqua twitched like he felt something.
”All right, all right. Just for a bit.”
Saying that, Onee-sama went into the changing room.
Right after, a tiny version of the uniformed Haa came out.
”Kyaa! The tiny uniform is adorable!”
”Vui~”
I took a ton of pictures of her.
Since that size isn’t sold, they apparently gathered old uniforms and stitched them together. Impressive.
Emily-senpai came back after getting a message from Aqua.
”Haa-chan, he said you look really cute.”
”Thanks, Papa.”
…Was it really necessary to say that through Emily-senpai?
Just like me, Aqua was secretly snapping pics of Haa from the side.
Then Onee-sama walked out of the changing room, staring at us.
”Onee-sama? Did the uniform not fit?”
”Saying it doesn’t suit me is forbidden.”
Seeing her red face, I grinned.
”Don’t worry. I’d never say that. Come on, don’t be shy, show me.”
”Just a little…”
And then she stepped out, looking all shy in her school uniform.
”Onee-sama, you’re so cute~!”
She smiled a little at the compliment.
To be honest, it felt more like cosplay… but with her sharp, gorgeous face, she looked like a true villainess in a dating sim. As an otaku? That’s a win.
”It looks really good, Victoria-sama.”
”Are we in an otome game?”
”You should totally walk around in that.”
”You’re perfect just like that!”
Surrounded by praise from the upperclassmen, Onee-sama looked pleased.
”Onee-sama, you’re kind of easy to win over.”
”But even so, you really do look like my favorite type of villainess. So it’s perfect.”
”D-Do you think so? Maybe I’ll wear it a bit longer…”
She looked toward Aqua near the door again.
Then Emily-senpai came back with another “message” from Aqua.
”He said, quote, ‘It’s perfect. I’ll buy that uniform at any price. Please wear it again later.’”
”Oh my. I wonder what Aqua plans to do with Onee-sama in that uniform…”
I puffed my cheeks and glared at Aqua.
Seeing me, Aqua quickly whispered something to Emily-senpai.
Seriously, is that kind of extra messaging really necessary?
”He also said he’d love for Mochinami-san to come along too.”
Mochinami!? What is that!? A rice cake!?
Come on, Aqua would never say something that dumb. Emily-senpai, stop twisting his words!
Still, Aqua… you sly dog.
”Ah. My mistake. It’s not Mochinami. It’s Choro-nami-san.”
…Did she just say what I think she said?
I stared at Emily-senpai.
”Kanon… do you want to come too? Just say it already! Shopkeeper! One more outfit, please!”
Emily-senpai changed clothes like a demon possessed.
”So, Kanon? How do I look?”
”Yeah. It suits you.”
She looked kind of embarrassed when I said that.
If I’d gone to Otomezaki instead of Emily-senpai and Mary… if we were all the same age… I wonder if we could’ve had days like this.
Thinking that made me feel a little sentimental.
Onee-sama snapped a photo of me and Emily-senpai together.
…Wait, where’s hallways?
Why is she over there next to Aqua?
”You two, Papa said ‘thank you, thank you.’”
You didn’t need to repeat what he said while crying, Haa…
Come on, Aqua, if you’ve got something to say, just come over here.
Noticing my stare, Aqua pointed at himself.
”We’re all wearing uniforms now and going around the festival. Where did you go?”
I made a big gesture to call him over. Aqua smiled.
Just as he was about to join us…
”Aah! Aqua-kun, I found you! What are you doing here!? You have a meeting!”
”Kokona, wait. I still have stuff to—”
”Yeah, yeah, you’re supposed to return the kimono to the Tea Ceremony Club, right? Mayuzumi-kun already did that. Come on, Aqua-kun!”
”Nooo~!”
We all exchanged looks as Kokona-chan dragged Aqua away.
Yep. Some things just can’t be helped.
”I wanna wear the same uniform as Onee-sama until I go home.”
”Haa-chan, nice assist. I’m with you.”
”Well, after walking around in it, she’ll probably get bored.”
”Yeah, that sounds right. Onee-sama too.”
We looked at each other, then started laughing out loud, not caring who saw.
I never thought the day would come where I’d be laughing like this with Onee-sama and Haa.
It’s all thanks to Aqua… and, just a little, to Emily-senpai too.
But if I say that out loud, she’ll just get smug and mess with me, so I’ll keep that to myself.
”Well, where should we go next?”
”Guhehe. Haunted house. Four girls, one dark room, ghosts—something spicy is bound to happen…”
See? This is why I don’t praise Emily-senpai. Geez.
”Then let’s go anywhere but the haunted house.”
”Nooo~!”
I smiled at Emily-senpai’s over-the-top reaction.
And so, the four of us set off to enjoy the school festival together.
