Volume 13 Chapter 406 Women’s Mutual Aid Society, The Return of the Committee Chair
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
I am a senior secretary for the Committee Chair of the Women’s Mutual Aid Society¹—and if I do say so myself, I am one of the most capable members we have. My family has held this position for three generations, and I’ve protected it with my life. Today, I stood back and watched with bated breath as the Chair finally returned to the front lines after her stint in the hospital.
”Welcome back, Committee Chair!”
”Congratulations on your recovery!”
”Long live the Chair! Long live the Women’s Mutual Aid Society!”
The Chair offered a curt wave to the gathered members as she accepted a bouquet. (Phew… she actually looks like she’s in a good mood today.) That was what I thought ten minutes ago. Now, I just want to punch my past self in the face for being so naive.
”I didn’t quite catch that,” the Chair growled, leaning over her desk. She clasped her hands together, her small frame trembling with a simmering rage that made her massive breasts shake rhythmically. “From the beginning. Slowly. Explain it again.”
Oh boy. Here come the tantrums.
”Well, you see…” one of the members stammered. “While you were away, the Society sent several infiltrators into the Holy Aqua Faith² headquarters to gather intel. We have the surveillance footage right here. Please, take a look.”
The lights dimmed, and the massive screen flickered to life, displaying a building every member of the Women’s Mutual Aid Society knew better than their own mother’s face: the Holy Aqua Faith headquarters. Normally, a secret society stays in the shadows, but Holy Aqua Faith operates on a completely different frequency. Their Saint is either a total lunatic or she’s intentionally flaunting herself to the world.
On the screen, our spy approached a passerby, affecting a thick, exaggerated accent. ‘Excuse me? Do you have a moment? I am just a tourist.’
’Oh, yes?’ the woman replied.
’That building over there… what is it?’
The woman shook her head and glanced around nervously before leaning in to whisper. ‘That’s Holy Aqua Faith. It’s full of crazy people. If you value your sanity, don’t go anywhere near it.’
’Wait, really?’
Usually, even the shadiest cult tries to maintain a facade of normalcy, but Holy Aqua Faith doesn’t give a damn. They lean into the madness, turning their own insanity into a joke and attracting only the most unhinged women.
’Don’t let them tempt you with sweet talk or membership perks,’ the woman warned.
’Ah… right! I’ll be careful!’ our spy chirped.
I winced. (Hey! What happened to the ‘clueless tourist’ act?!) The girl had been so startled she’d slipped right back into perfectly fluent, natural Japanese. The woman she’d interviewed just nodded and walked straight through the front gates of the headquarters.
”So you’re just another one of those lunatics yourself!” the Chair screamed at the screen.
Impressive. The Chair had called it out even faster than I had. I felt a swell of pride; I really was glad she was back.
The footage cut to another scene. ‘Excuse me! Can we talk?’ our spy asked, stopping another woman on the street. I froze. (Wait… is that who I think it is?)
”Is that Yukishiro Emily?!” the Chair shouted, nearly falling out of her chair. “She’s one of the high-priority targets! Fantastic work!”
Yukishiro Emily—one of Shirogane Aqua’s wives and a direct descendant of the Yukishiro line. On our Society’s threat assessment list, she’s technically an F-rank weakling compared to SSS-rank monsters like Saint Emily or Eroy Musk of SEX Corp, but she sits at the absolute top of our priority watch list.
’Wait, are you actually interested in that religion?’ Emily asked, her face full of genuine concern. ‘I’m not trying to be mean, but you shouldn’t get involved with a shady cult just out of curiosity. It’s not too late to turn back.’
We all found ourselves nodding along. As expected of Yukishiro Emily—she was a beacon of common sense. She looked genuinely worried for our member. What a beautiful soul. In a country filled with the crude, classless harpies found on the Bulletin Boards, it was refreshing to see someone as graceful as Emily.
’If you’re looking for something else, why not try this? It’s completely harmless.’ Emily handed over a flyer.
”Notice for the next Power Infusion Meeting³“?
The Chair and I shared a look of pure confusion. (Power Infusion? What on earth is that?)
’It’s a gathering for the Church of Power,’ Emily explained. ‘Every morning, Aqua-sama and Kaede-paisen send out “power” to anyone who’s feeling down or just needs a boost. It’s not really a cult… it’s more like those morning calisthenics groups in the park. It’s free, too! I heard Iria-san and even Prime Minister Habu will be there next time. You should definitely go to that instead.’
The Church of Power… Their numbers were small, but their roster was a “Who’s Who” of high-level threats like Shirogane Aqua and Habu Chiyoko. They weren’t hiding, but they weren’t exactly doing anything “evil” either. If anything, the only “damage” they’d caused was to us, because the Society kept trying to pick fights with them and getting steamrolled in return.
’Th-thank you so much…’ the spy muttered.
’Of course! Just remember: don’t go near those other religions just to be trendy, okay?’
Yukishiro Emily really was a saint. We’d only given her an F-rank because of her F-cup size, but I made a mental note to suggest we remove her from the danger list entirely.
”So,” the Chair asked, her eyes narrowing. “Did you actually go to this ‘Infusion’?”
”Yes, ma’am. Here is the footage.”
The screen showed a sunny park filled with families and the elderly. Unlike the suffocating, heavy atmosphere of Holy Aqua Faith, this place was vibrant.
’Power!!’ Morikawa Kaede shouted, thrusting her hands forward.
””’Power!!””’ the crowd roared back.
They all spread their arms, soaking up the “power” with blissful expressions. I had no idea what the actual effect was, but apparently, the members of the Church of Power weren’t the type to care about the details.
’The Power Infusion with Shirogane Aqua is starting! Please line up if you have a ticket!’
The spy paused the video. “In order to get close, I had to join the Church and survive a brutal login war⁴ just to snag a ticket… It was a grueling battle, but looking back, it was worth it.”
I stared at her. (You didn’t actually join them, did you?)
On the screen, the spy approached Shirogane Aqua. The Chair lunged toward the screen. “Wait! At that range, you could have taken him out! Why didn’t you?!”
”It was impossible, Chair,” the spy replied, her voice distant. “The pheromones Shirogane Aqua gives off… and that scent… it melts your brain. At that distance, no woman can even hold a weapon, let alone use one.”
The room erupted into frantic whispering.
’What’s your name, dear?’ Aqua asked on screen.
’It’s… it’s Josephine…’
(Josephine?! We’re supposed to use code names! Is that her real name?!)
’Josephine-san, is it okay if I hold your hand?’
As Aqua took her hand, the spy—Josephine—looked like she was about to ascend to heaven.
”What is with this schoolgirl reaction?!” the Chair screamed.
I felt a pang of annoyance myself. (How dare she enjoy such a scandalous perk on company time? Though, to be fair, the Chair and I are both single, so we’re probably just jealous.)
’Why did you come today, Josephine-san?’ Aqua asked gently.
’My boss is… she’s a real piece of work. I’m always so stressed. I just wanted Aqua-sama to give me some energy…’
The Chair turned red. “She’s talking about me! She definitely means me! And did she just call him ‘Aqua-sama’?! Hey!”
’I see,’ Aqua said with a smile. ‘Then I’ll give you a double dose of power.’
He pulled her into a tight hug. Josephine let out a high-pitched, breathy squeal.
”You!” the Chair shrieked, pointing at the spy. “That was a total ‘mating’ sound! You’ve been compromised!”
A wave of righteous fury—and intense envy—washed over the room.
’Ah…’
The spy on screen didn’t even try to hide it. She looked straight into the hidden camera with a face of pure, unadulterated bliss, as if she were bragging to all of us. (She’s rubbing it in! She’s actually rubbing it in!) I’ve never felt more motivated to fire someone in my entire life.
”Ah! I mean, what the hell! You’re totally feeling it right now, aren’t you? Being hugged by Shirogane Aqua like it’s the most natural thing in the world!”
(Classic Chairwoman! Tell her exactly what we’re all thinking! Honestly, if I have to participate in a stupid committee like this, I’d rather go to a Power Transfer Meeting⁵ right this second!)
”Chairwoman… there isn’t a woman on this earth who wouldn’t lose her mind being embraced by Shirogane Aqua. Besides, what are you even saying in front of a man who can turn even a lesbian into a submissive female? I only went undercover to grasp the reality of the Power Transfer Meeting for the sake of the committee.”
(Ah! Look at her! She’s completely doubled down! I can’t see her face because of that hood, but she’s exuding that ‘I’ve seen the light’ atmosphere! I mean, you were showing your face just a minute ago, so why bother hiding it now?!)
”Therefore, based on my investigation, I’ve found that the Power Transfer Meeting isn’t doing anything like the Holy Aqua Faith⁶. It’s just a peaceful gathering. Since there were no particular abnormalities, I would like to conclude the investigation into the Church of Power.”
(Damn it! She’s trying to play it cool with a stoic face, but she can’t hide the smirking heart under that hood! I mean, look at the screen right now! That Old Grandmother whose lower back was being rubbed by Shirogane Aqua… she was hunched over a cane until just now, and now her back is straight as a board and she’s strutting away! How is that ‘no abnormalities’?! This committee is the only thing that’s weird for ignoring the obvious! You’ve completely given up, haven’t you?!)
”Now, let’s return to the previous investigation footage,” the Chairwoman said.
”Don’t try to just ignore it! What was that footage just now anyway?!” I shouted.
As the screen switched, the front of the Holy Aqua Faith headquarters appeared again. A girl wearing the Otomezaki uniform walked out of the building.
’Excuse me. Are you a believer?’ Josephine asked.
(That ‘tourist’ cover story… is she seriously still sticking with that? I feel sorry for the student being cornered by such a suspicious woman.)
’Ah… no, I’m not,’ the girl replied, looking startled. ‘It’s just that my family belongs to the Stars Orthodox Church, so…’
(Ah, right. The Stars Orthodox Church was absorbed by the Holy Aqua Faith. Phew, I’m just glad such a pure-looking girl hasn’t joined that crazy cult.)
”Hmm… so even if they were Stars Orthodox, not every single one of them is necessarily a follower of the Holy Aqua Faith,” the Chairwoman said, placing her hand to her chin in thought.
(What are you even thinking about, Chairwoman? There’s no way a normal, virginal-looking girl like that would be a believer. If a girl like her were an executive of the Holy Aqua Faith, I’d lose my faith in humanity in a heartbeat. Hahaha!)
”Incidentally, this female student was later identified as Chihiro Claire,” Josephine noted. “She is a classmate of Shirogane Aqua, a second-year in Class A, and the Student Council President.”
”I see. A classmate of that Shirogane Aqua, huh… She doesn’t look dangerous, but I’ll put her on the high-interest list just in case,” the Chairwoman replied.
I nodded in agreement. (Honestly, the only dangerous people in Otomezaki right now – besides Shirogane Aqua and Shirogane Kanon – are Student Council Vice President Sumeragi Kukuri or Public Morals Vice Chairwoman Kato Iria.)
”After this, I participated in several gatherings to grasp the reality of the Holy Aqua Faith, eventually infiltrating the order as a believer,” Josephine said.
”Good. That’s the kind of report I’ve been waiting for,” the Chairwoman said.
(Chairwoman, I’m sorry to ruin the mood, but isn’t this what they call a ‘death flag’? Like a moth to a flame, or a hunter becoming the prey… I think there are proverbs like that in Japan.)
On the screen, a Holy Aqua Faith sister welcomed Josephine, who was now dressed in a habit. ‘Welcome to the Holy Aqua Faith. You’re probably nervous being assigned to the Purgation Squad, but for now, just watch how the seniors work.’
’Y-Yes…’ Josephine replied.
(The Purgation Squad? She really got in deep. That’s a major unit with access to the executives. Josephine really is capable.)
The footage showed Josephine in the cafeteria, listening to the chatter. ‘Man, the Shogun is furious that there aren’t enough workers for the coal mines.’
’Well, lately everyone has given up. The number of idiots trying to lay a hand on Aqua-sama has decreased, after all.’
(I remember the coal mine development being in the news. Apparently, the ones forced to work there are those who tried to mess with Shirogane Aqua.)
’No terrorists means no new labor. Speaking of which, didn’t the guys from that bombing get sent to the mines for energy development? Why don’t we just snatch some lifers or death row inmates from the state prisons and make them work too?’
(Terrorists as labor? Kidnapping criminals? Did these people get hit in the head with a hammer? This isn’t a conversation you have with a smile while eating curry! They don’t even see our assassins as threats – just ‘supplies.’ My world was spinning.)
’Hey! What if they start a riot in the mines?’
’It’s fine. That’s why we have the Reflection Room⁷. If anyone rebellious enters the room the Workaholic built as a hobby, they turn into a devout follower of Aqua-sama in an hour. Even those ex-terrorists have their brains fried by high-concentration Aqua-sama. They just mine coal and smile all day.’
(The Reflection Room… I can’t even imagine the horror.)
Josephine stopped the video. “I investigated the Reflection Room in detail, but since I can’t risk frying all of your brains here, I’ll only show a portion of the footage I obtained at the risk of my life.”
The perspective shifted to Josephine walking through a dark corridor. She stopped at a heavy door, glancing around before a voice called out from the other side.
’What color are Kanon’s panties today?’
’Um… it’s Wednesday, so… light blue and white stripes!’ Josephine answered.
(What kind of braindead password is that?!)
’Hehehe! Correct! You’re quite the pervert, sister.’ A small slot in the door opened, and a hand passed a brown envelope to Josephine.
”This is just footage. Don’t watch it if you’re feeling sick. And take the next day off if you’re working.”
Josephine clutched the envelope and ran. She returned to her apartment, put on headphones, and played the disc.
’Oh… Oh! YES! C’est si bon! YES! ♡♡♡’
The woman on the screen was unmistakable – it was one of our elite honey-trap agents who had been utterly defeated by Shirogane Aqua in the last operation.
Slap! Slap! Slap!
I stared at the depth of the thrusts. (How is that even physically possible?) My hand moved instinctively, resting over my own heat.
Splatter! Gush! Squelch! Squelch!
The sound of the e**culation was… endless. (Just hearing it feels like my ears are going to get pregnant.) Looking around, every committee member was bright red. Shirogane Aqua finished breaking our agent, gave her a gentle kiss, and then pulled back, displaying his legendary sword to the camera.
(H-Holy…)
I felt like I was watching a grand epic, ready to bow down before a king. It was as if he were saying, “Behold this c**k!”
”It’s… massive,” someone whispered.
”If that was forced into you the first time… it would hurt so good.”
”I want him to kiss my cervix with that.”
”He’d hit the back every time without even trying.”
”It’s not even in the same league as a strap-on…”
The sight of those pulsing veins made my body burn. (This is bad. I’m going to want it. I can feel the phantom sensation of that tip scratching me, making my insides twitch.) I was leaking so much that the thick cream dripping onto the sheets felt like a waste. I found myself making a vulgar, licking motion with my tongue.
Suddenly, a loud slam jolted us back to reality. The Chairwoman had hammered her fist onto the desk. “DON’T. FUCK. WITH. ME!”
She snatched the remote and killed the feed. I jumped, my face burning with shame. I covered my eyes with both hands to hide my depraved thoughts.
”This is only a fraction of the Reflection Room footage,” Josephine said. “The terrorists are subjected to this while being tormented by electric ddos modeled after Shirogane Aqua. They don’t just break… they’re completely brainwa – I mean, converted.”
I glanced at the screen, which showed footage of Benella, Ariana, Sally, and Cuccolo all toiling away in the coal mines. (So, those girls are really pulling their weight in the pits these days…)
”Dammit! Those Holy Aqua Faith⁸ bastards! They’ve got some nerve making a total mockery of us!”
The Chairman, her midsection cinched tight in a support corset, started stomping her feet in a fit of pique. (Chairman, stop! You’re going to send a shockwave right into that lower back you just started healing!) I stood up and moved to talk the raging Chairman down.
”I’ve heard enough about the Holy Aqua Faith! Isn’t there any good news for once?”
The committee members traded glances and shook their heads. At the sight of their silence, the Chairman’s petite frame-and her oversized chest-began to quiver with indignation.
”Grrr… gnnn-nnnn-nnn!”
(Chairman, please, settle down. If your blood pressure spikes any higher, the doctor is going to chew you out for your salt intake again.)
Josephine, who had been watching the Chairman’s meltdown, suddenly clapped her hands as if a lightbulb had gone off.
”Oh, that reminds me. It looks like Shirogane Aqua is heading to the States⁹ for a world tour.”
”That’s it!”
(Oh, is it that time of year already? Too bad I totally struck out in the ticket lottery. Guess I’ll just have to settle for the livestream.)
”Listen up, you lot! I’ve said it before-terrorism is a moron’s game! It’s what people with zero brain cells do. I’m going to show you how to stop Shirogane Aqua’s invasion the smart way, with actual intellect!”
”””””Ooooh!”””””
We offered the Chairman a smattering of half-hearted applause. (Am I the only one who thinks this is a disaster waiting to happen? Well, if she’s determined to try, the most I can do is keep an eye on her.)
”Hehehe… just you wait, Shirogane Aqua! …Ow, ow, ow! My back… I think that stomping did it…”
(See? Just like I told you. You just broke a bone, so try taking a little care of yourself for once.)
I unceremoniously dumped the Chairman into a wheelchair one of the members had brought over.
”Hey! You! Don’t you think you’re being a little too rough with me?! My mother would-“
(I already told you, I’m not here to coddle you like your mother would. Now come on, let’s get you back to bed.)
I pushed the wheelchair and the shouting Chairman out of the assembly hall, leaving the committee behind.
”Hey! Don’t you dare ignore me! Listen to what I’m sayinnnnng!”
Now then… if Shirogane Aqua is making a move, I should probably get in touch with him. Hehe… I wonder what kind of mess you’re going to stir up this time? This is actually getting fun. Shirogane Aqua-san, let’s have ourselves a good time again soon.

Summary:
The Committee Chair of the Women’s Mutual Aid Society returns to work following her hospitalization. She reviews intelligence gathered by spies regarding their rival, Holy Aqua Faith, and the seemingly benign Church of Power. But the Chair and her Secretary consumed by jealousy as they watch a spy receive a hug from Shirogane Aqua.
Next, the anti-Aqua committee reviews Josephine’s infiltration report. She dismisses the Church of Power as peaceful, despite clear miracles occurring. The focus shifts to the Holy Aqua Faith’s brutal ‘Reflection Room,’ which uses s*xual brainwashing to convert terrorists into docile labor for coal mines.
The Chairman reacts with fury to reports about the ‘Holy Aqua Faith’ but finds a new focus when Josephine mentions Shirogane Aqua’s world tour in the States. Despite a painful back injury and constant warnings from the narrator, the Chairman vows to stop Aqua’s ‘invasion’ using intellectual means rather than violence. The narrator remains skeptical but helps the Chairman back to bed, while secretly planning to contact someone about the upcoming chaos.
—
Trivia:
- The Secretary position is hereditary.
- Danger rankings (SSS to F) are humorously linked to breast cup sizes.
- Holy Aqua Faith is openly crazy, whereas Church of Power appears wholesome but contains the world’s most dangerous individuals.
- Shirogane Aqua’s ‘power’ has a physical effect on women’s motor skills.
- The ‘login war’ refers to the intense competition for event tickets in Japan.
- The Stars Orthodox Church was absorbed by the Holy Aqua Faith.
- The Reflection Room was created by a character nicknamed ‘Workaholic.’
- The Purgation Squad has contact with cult executives.
- Shirogane Aqua’s power has actual medical effects (healing the grandmother’s back).
- The Chairman is currently recovering from a bone fracture.
- The coal mine workers (Benella, etc.) are being monitored via screen.
- The narrator refuses to ‘mother’ or coddle the Chairman.
- Shirogane Aqua is specifically identified as male.
- The Holy Aqua Faith is a rival group that triggers the Chairman’s anger
—
Character Insight:
The Secretary and the Chair are revealed to be virgins, making their reactions to romantic/s*xual situations particularly volatile. Despite their professional goals, they are easily swayed by personal envy of other women’s proximity to Aqua.
The narrator’s objective stance is rapidly crumbling as she watches the ‘brainwashing’ footage, showing she is just as susceptible to Aqua’s physical influence as those she mocks.
The Chairman shows a preference for ‘intellectual’ methods over ‘stupid’ terrorism, revealing a shred of tactical pride despite her childish behavior. The narrator exhibits a complex mix of caretaker exhaustion and a hidden, playful agenda regarding Shirogane Aqua.
—
Behind the Scenes:
The author parodies real-world tech moguls and internet culture (e.g., ‘Eroy Musk’, ‘Bulletin Board’ trolls) while subverting standard ‘secret society’ tropes with absurd comedic elements.
The author uses hyper-exaggerated religious and s*xual tropes to satirize the ‘corruption’ genre.
The author uses ‘States’ (ステイツ) specifically to refer to the US, and the gender markers are essential because the names ‘Aqua’ and ‘Toa’ are often ambiguous in a fantasy/novel context.
