”Understood. This room is already clean, and the bags for Anma-sama¹ are packed, so we can leave at any time.”
When I told the returning Corinna about the move, she gave me that answer. Jane-san⁵ and I were supposed to have made a huge mess this morning, but isn’t this girl a bit too good at her job? Jane-san nodded and clapped her hands once.
”Very well~desuwa. Then let us go to the new place. Anma-sama, I will show you the way.”
”Ah, yes. Please. I will carry the bags—wait, oof?!” I said.
”O-Oh, I will carry them! Anma-sama, you are fine with nothing in your hands,” Corinna said.
I thought I would carry the shoulder bag Corinna had packed for me, but I was shocked by how heavy it was for its size. Also, Corinna was lifting it like it was nothing. Uh, what…
”Corinna is a child of a Hero, and she has a very high Status¹. It is not possible for you to do the same thing, you know? Corinna is stronger than almost all summoned people~desuwa.”
”Um, I am also using weight reduction magic… To start with, this bag is a Magic Tool⁴ with Internal Volume Expansion² and Internal Time Stasis when Closed³ magic on it, but it does not have weight reduction magic. In a way, it is a failed work. It is hard for people who cannot use weight reduction magic to use it,” Corinna said.
Oh… so it was an item-box kind of Magic Tool… One that can hold many things, but the weight stays the same. It seems you cannot add magic to a Magic Tool later; all magic must be put on at the same time. If you try to add it later, it deletes the old magic.
”So nobody talked about fixing the magic?” I asked.
”The item used to make it a Magic Tool costs more than the bag itself. Even if it is a failure, it is not useless. Instead of fixing it, they probably just bought a new bag and made it again. These kinds of halfway failures are often left around the palace as extra supplies~desuwa.”
By the way, while I was thinking about why it was so heavy, it seems they put Jane-san and Corinna’s things, plus things for the massage (like towels and lotion), in there for now. When Corinna put on the bag, her big curves stood out. They really are huge… She talked about sex stuff before, so maybe I can massage those breasts too. No, she does not need a breast lift, so maybe I cannot. As I was thinking, Jane-san said, “Shall we go soon?” and I started walking next to her.
”What is the new room like? I heard it is on the third floor,” I said.
”It is hard to say what it is like…”
After thinking a bit, Jane-san started talking about the room map.
”As a room, it is a 3K with a big bath and a toilet. The kitchen is small, but we eat in the dining hall anyway.”
”It is a private room for the ladies-in-waiting, right?” I asked.
”Yes. The rooms are a bedroom, a sitting room, and a small room for servants. For people who bring maids, a servant room is ready just in case. When I lived on the third floor before, I did not have a maid, so I did not use it~desuwa.”

”Ah, so you do not live alone? You share a room with a maid?” I asked.
”Some ladies-in-waiting have a hard time living alone~desuwa.”
From what I heard, even Jane-san—who had Corinna help her with clothes and the bath—is not one of those people. She only had help because it was her first time; she usually bathes alone.
”But I do have the maids come to clean. I cannot clean that big bath by myself~desuwa.”
”Is it really that big?” I asked.
”It is big~desuwa. To be honest, I think no one would be mad if it was a bit smaller.”
That sounds like something to look forward to. When we got to the third floor, Alisha-sama⁶ was coming out of a room. She stopped when she saw us.
”Good timing. Anma-sama, Jane. Can I borrow Corinna later? I want to use that bag when I move rooms.”
”I do not mind. Corinna, it is okay~desuwa, right?”
”Understood. Alisha-sama, if you call me when you are ready, I will come over,” Corinna said.

”Then, I will call you later,” Alisha-sama said and left.
Corinna has more work again. So, we go into the room across from Alisha-sama. This is the new treatment room.
”Is this… the sitting room? The sofa looks like the one in the princess’s room,” I said.
”The rooms are made to look the same~desuwa. The furniture is bought and put in all at once. From tomorrow, this room will be a waiting room.”
The place we entered was a room of about ten tatami mats. Near the wall by the hall were sofas for two people and a low table. Near the other wall were a desk and a chair. There were two doors on the front wall and one on the right, for a total of three. Corinna went through the front door right away.
”The two doors in front go to the kitchen, and the door in the back right goes to the bedroom~desuwa. Which one do you want to see?”
”Um, the bedroom first, please,” I said.
”Understood.”
Inside was a room with a double bed in the middle. It was about eight tatami mats big. There was a small chest of drawers by the bed and a closet in the back. Is it only for sleeping?
”This is the bedroom. It is the room where Jane-san and Anma-sama will sleep tonight, and from tomorrow, it will be the treatment room.”
”Jane-san and I…” I said.
She said it so simply that I looked at her. She looked calm, but her ears were a little red. She moved to the next room fast, maybe because she did not want me to ask more.
”The next room is for servants. There is nothing to say about it~desuwa. I do not think you will ever go in here, Anma-sama.”
”It looks like a normal room,” I said.
It was a room of about six tatami mats with a bed and a desk. It was just a servant’s room, so there was nothing to explain. We went to the next room. It was the kitchen. Corinna was doing something.
”This is the kitchen~desuwa. But since we eat in the dining hall, we only boil water for tea here. Corinna is just getting tea and snacks ready~desuwa.”
”That is a lot of snacks,” I said.
”From tomorrow, many women will come to this room. Tea and snacks are needed~desuwa!”
In the kitchen, Corinna was taking things out of her bag. She put a tea set and a huge pile of snacks on the shelves. There were enough snacks to last for weeks. Jane-san did not think it was weird and went to the next place.
”This is the washroom. The toilet is through that door, and the bath is through the other one~desuwa.”
”This part is also pretty normal,” I said.
”A washroom does not need to be fancy~desuwa.”
It was a small space with a sink and a basket. The toilet was a Western style like in Japan. My old room had a flush toilet too, but does this place have a real sewer system? Jane-san said they use a Magic Tool for the waste in the palace, but the whole city is not like that. Some places still use pit latrines.
”Last is the bath~desuwa. Please.”
”Okay… Wow, it really is big,” I said.
The bath had a washing area and a tub, both about three tatami mats big. It was big enough to lie down in.
”A lady-in-waiting who loved baths built this place—it was an abuse of power~desuwa. Many people can fit, and we can put mats down for massages here too.”
”Then, I will give you a massage next time, Jane-san,” I said.
”Fufu, thank you. I will give you a massage too, Anma-sama.”
”I am looking forward to it. It sounds like fun.”
