Astral Valkyrie is a hunting group that Lina manages with her own money, so all the costs come from her. I’ve heard that many hunts end in losses after covering equipment and supply expenses.
Especially since Lina gathers girls with special jobs for research, the expenses to keep those girls in the Hunting Group are putting a strain on the administration.
”If you defeat Ines’ team, we’ll take them in. Their treatment will stay the same, and I’ll make a contract for any girl who wants to be mine. How does that sound?”
”Sure. But just so you know, those girls are stronger than Ines’ team. They’re the ones I trained in Job acquired. I’ve built them for battle with specialized jobs and skills. Even if Feria’s silly with her Divine Race or Dragonewt, Elia and the others should win.”
Ines and Feria have taken on the [Maid Dragon], which is a weaker job compared to the [Dragon Tamer] they ride. I can’t deny their personal battle skills are pretty high, but Lina is sure she will win.
I don’t think they’re weak since they have rescued father-in-law from prison as a single team in Capital City, but I don’t believe they can beat Ines and Feria’s deadly combo of [Maid Dragon].
”Elia wants to be owned, so Kent should just take her in without weird conditions. She’s not really suited for spying like me, but she’s quite capable in battle. As the leader of the Dream Demon tribe, I’d be grateful if Kent could mate with her.”
Milly, who was watching the arena from the window, insisted that Kent should own and mate with Elia.
I don’t know if it’s the nature of being a succubus or just Milly’s character, but she never gets mad at me for being with other women. Instead, she actually encourages it.
”I need to see some real skill… or else rumors will spread that I’m pulling another girl into my bed. They’re already calling me ‘the king who obeys his lower half’ or ‘the king of beauty hunting,’ so I have to be careful.”
”Well, I won’t deny it. Elder Sister Milly should be careful not to let Kent have too much fun… or he might end up with a ton of lovers!”
Milly shrugged her shoulders while laughing at Lina’s words.
”Really? I think that’s fine. Being the wife of a man with thousands of lovers sounds wonderful, doesn’t it?”
”No, I only have a few hundred lovers still…”
”That’s just a matter of time, right?”
I got stuck for a reply as Lina pointed it out.
At the same time, a gong rang out to signal the start of the match in the arena.

*Feria’s Perspective
As the match began, I hopped onto Ludge and soared into the sky.
The opposing team was led by Emma, who I knew well.
Emma was a Minotaur girl from the Garuda Clan, but she had gained the [Maid Magician] job thanks to my power from the Divine Race.
The [Maid Magician] is a magician version of the [Maid Warrior], allowing her to add her master’s magic power to her own magic.
I’ve heard her current master is Alicia, which makes her quite the talented magician.
”Ines! Hurry up and knock out those 2 in the vanguard!”
Ines, also riding a Dragonewt, jumped up, so I decided to go for a quick attack to avoid a long battle.
”Okay! I will aim for Ms. Sakura, so Ms. Feria, please provide support!”
”Got it!”
Ines dove in on Flandre, dropping in right above Sakura.
As Alicia and Emma noticed the dive, they aimed their arrows and magic at Ines.
I ordered Ludge to use its breath attack to support Ines.
The breath Ludge released turned into thin beams of light, raining down on the arena and causing small explosions one after another.
Emma and her team spread out to avoid the scattered beams, increasing the distance between them.
”Neril! Now let’s flank Emma and Alicia in the rearguard!”
I ordered Neril and the others to spread out and head towards Emma and Alicia, who were becoming isolated.
I thought if we could take down those 2, we would greatly reduce their attacks on us from above.
Just as Neril and the others tried to flank them, Lunamaria and Lilium stood in their way to block them.
Neril and the others tried to break through, but Lilium’s sword skills and Lunamaria’s hidden weapons attacked fiercely, making it hard to get past.
”Hmm, these pesky girls are a pain! Looks like I’ll have to target them directly!”
I urged Ludge forward and charged at the rearguard with a sudden rush.
With a roaring sound, I zigzagged to avoid arrows flying past my face, getting closer.
As I neared, Emma’s magic joined the attack, and I faced an unending assault, but Ludge kept enduring and descended.
”Ms. Feria! I’m grateful, but we have our lives on the line too! So, I’ll finish you off with ‘Floating Mines’!”
Emma shot countless floating orbs of light towards me as she descended.
The moment I saw those orbs, I felt a chill, and at the same time, the orbs around me began to explode in a chain reaction.
”Kyaaah!”
I was thrown off Ludge and fell to the ground, hit by the explosion.
I had fallen from a pretty low height, so I wasn’t seriously hurt, but I was gasping for breath from the impact.
”Ms. Feria! Are you okay? Ms. Elia, Ms. Sakura, move aside!”
”I won’t move! We have our lives on the line too, and if I do well in this match, Master Lina said she would introduce me to Sir Kent, so I can’t lose!”
Elia and Sakura stood in front of Ines, blocking her as she tried to rush to me.
They looked serious, seemingly betting the future of the Hunting Group on this match.
”I’ve been thinking about this for a while. Elia and the others are being tricked by Ms. Lina. Mr. Kent wouldn’t say no to a pretty girl. He would surely keep them busy all night, covered in white stuff.”
”Huh?!”
While I got distracted by my own words, Ines slipped past us and picked up Flandre.
”Ms. Feria. Are you okay?”
”My side hurts a bit… I don’t think it’s broken, though.”
Ludge, still a bit hurt, came closer to help me.
I climbed back on Ludge, and we landed again in front of Elia.
”What I said before is true. Mr. Kent can’t resist pretty girls. If Elia and her friends are that beautiful, he would pull them into bed and make them so messy with white stuff that they couldn’t take anymore. Of course, not just one at a time, but all together!”
Elia and the others paused when they heard my words.
It seems Lina hasn’t told them about Mr. Kent’s little likes.
It’s hard to believe Mr. Kent wouldn’t go for such a beautiful Hunting Group known in town.
”W-What? If we ask, he will make a contract with us? No, wait, Elia, don’t be fooled! I remember Lina saying we have to win to get an introduction!”
Sakura drew her sword and unleashed a Sword Flash.
I felt the shock wave of the sword cutting my skin, and blood ran from my cheek.
”Right, you’re right. If we win, everything will be fine.”
Elia seems to have made up her mind to focus on winning.
She drew her rapier and used Stealth Magic to disappear.
”Ughhhh! These annoying girls! Silly girls like them should get a spanking from Mr. Kent with some Plap Plap action!”
I threw my battle axe towards where I sensed movement.
It hit the spot where Elia had vanished, but she skillfully deflected it with her rapier.
”Ms. Feria! Ms. Neril and the others are at a disadvantage!”
Ines’s report showed that Neril and her 3 friends, caught by Lunamaria and Lilium, were losing a lot of strength.
It felt like it was only a matter of time before the 4 of them were completely overpowered.
Ugh, they are strong.
Even though Ms. Neril and her team are mid-level hunters, they seem so weak… We have to turn the tide somehow…
I thought about ways to regain our position, but Divine Magic was not allowed, and I couldn’t think of a way out.
Seeing this, Ines tried to have Flandre use a spreading breath to help Neril and her friends escape, but Lunamaria and Lilium dodged everything and stayed safe.
Just then, a thick arrow struck Flandre’s wing as she tried to breathe again.
Alicia’s arrow hit her spot on.
Flandre, hit by the arrow, spun down and crashed to the ground, causing Ines to be thrown off and roll away.
She fell from quite a height, and it looked like the impact knocked her out.
”Hit! Finally, my sleep arrow found its mark!”
It was Alicia’s arrow, infused with sleep magic, that took down Ines.
I panicked as I saw Ines go down, one of my allies.
With our main power lost without damaging the enemy at all, Neril and her friends’ will to fight quickly faded.
We’re at a disadvantage… Considering the difference in strength, this is our limit…
”I-I give up! You win, Elia! I feel bad for Ms. Clarette, but we did get some publicity… I don’t want to get hurt anymore. But remember this: once you’re Mr. Kent’s property, you should expect to be attacked anytime, anywhere!”
I pointed dramatically at Elia and shouted my parting words.
With our loss, Lina would likely present Elia to Kent.
If that happens, they’ll become Mr. Kent’s captives, and every night, they’ll be moaning in bed.
So I’ll get my revenge in that bed.
”The winners are! Team Emma of the ‘Astral Valkyrie’!”
When the host announced the victory, Emma and the others hugged each other in joy.
They didn’t yet know that this happiness would be short-lived.
If they became enchanted by Mr. Kent, they’d find themselves thinking only of him all day long…
*Kent’s Perspective*
The fight between Ines’s team and Emma’s team had decided the winner.
To everyone’s surprise, Emma’s team had nearly won completely against Ines’s team, which included the powerful Dragonewt.
Even though Feria had been told to ban Divine Magic, I didn’t expect such a big victory.
”Wow. They can go toe-to-toe with the main forces?”
”As promised, Kent will take care of Elia and the others. I’ll let Ms. Eclair, the caretaker, know. She has been wanting to go to Capital City recently, and it might be a good time for her to transfer her shop to her daughter, Ange. Elia and the others can keep living at ‘Bottakuri BAR,’ right?”
”Yeah, that’s fine. The Blackdagger family will take care of their daily needs, and they can hunt freely like before.”
I decided to hire Elia and the others as part of the Blackdagger family’s Private Hunting Group.
I called Annabella and asked her to negotiate finances with Lina.
Although Helga is currently the Treasurer, Annabella was gradually regaining control of the family’s private assets.
This was because I found managing money troublesome, Milly wasn’t interested in asset management, and Helga was too busy with state work.
Annabella’s estimates had been continuously approved without question.

Range: 50 meters
Launches fire orbs that explode on contact. The number of orbs increases as job level rises. Power depends on the caster’s magic strength.
