Seeing their allies falling one after another, Dee issued instructions for them to get behind her. However, the Black Dragon Clan didn’t want to hide behind Dee, their queen.
”It would shame us, your Majesty, to hide behind Her Highness Delprius! Those who have courage, follow me!!”

The Black Dragon Clan, ignoring Delprius’s instructions, tried to attack the silver jellyfish, but Fabulanova appeared in front of them, blocking their charge.
”You fools! Disobeying the Captain’s orders?! Hurry, get behind Delprius! If you’re shot down with a pathetic charge, you’ll be laughed at for generations!”
”Y-yes! I’m sorry!”
The Black Dragon Clan, who had called for the charge, were startled by Fabulanova’s fury and sheepishly retreated behind Dee.
”Clayd! You and I will take that thing down! Delprius, I’m counting on you to take care of everyone!”
”Alright!”
”Mother! I will destroy that thing! Mother, come behind me too!”
”No way… I am still the Black Dragon King! I can’t hide behind the heir to the throne as a shameful act for the king! Delprius! Protect the family as the heir! That is your duty now. Also, give birth to at least 20 children with Kent. Clayd might complain, but I allow it. Squeeze everything from Kent!”
”Mother!! I… I…”
After ending what felt like a farewell family talk, Fabulanova, who was biting my clothes, spread her wings and swooped down at the swarm of silver jellyfish.
”Clayd! Deploy the magic barrier to the max! That magic missile hurts a lot if it hits. Hurry!”
Grabbing my back with her mouth and cleverly speaking, Fabulanova asked me to extend the magic barrier. Countless magic missiles were flying straight at her, approaching in a focused barrage.
”Got it! You’re a rough husband, huh, wife!”
Activating Support Magic’s magic element absorption (Mana Absorption), she absorbed the high-concentration magic elements lifted into the air by the aftershock of the magic bombs, filling her magic power. With the accumulated magic, she created a magic barrier to envelop Fabulanova and herself.
Countless magic missiles fired at the magic barrier, smashing into it one after another, causing cracks, but before the barrier reached its limit, she deployed a new barrier to prevent it from collapsing.
”Clayd… sorry. I dragged you into this too.”
”Ah, it’s fine. Or rather, do you really think I would lag behind that jellyfish?”
”Hehe, I don’t think so. After all, you’re the strongest man on the Demon Continent, right? And I thought I was the strongest woman on the Demon Continent, but Delprius took that title.”
”Not quite. If we take that down, we’ll be the strongest couple on the Demon Continent!”
”Oh, really? Hehe, then maybe I’ll get serious after a hundred years.”
Fabulanova sped up, dodging and weaving through the swarm of silver jellyfish. As the distance between them closed, the barrage intensified, chipping away at the magic barrier with each hit.
”Ughhhh! Damn it! What kind of insane creature is this?! My ammo’s not gonna last foreverrrr!”
With the continuous deployment of magic barriers and the constant activation of Mana Absorption, the strain of mana conversion was taking its toll. Internal organs, lungs—everything was screaming in pain, unable to handle the burden. But stopping the barriers now would mean Fabulanova would be obliterated by the mana bullets. As her partner, there was no way she’d let that happen, even if it killed her.
…Damn, my insides are melting from all this mana conversion… but there’s no spare mana left for Healing Magic….
With the barrage barely managed, there was no mana to spare for Healing Magic to treat the organs already dissolving from the side effects. The throbbing pain in the abdomen was ignored, as there was no time to focus on it.
”Almost there! I’m landing on that bell-shaped part up ahead!”
