*Kent’s Perspective
As the villagers started climbing into the Dragonewt transport cages in the plaza, the enemy ‘another world monsters’ began their assault.
They were already swarming the makeshift barricades, and their numbers just kept growing.
I arrived at the north entrance of the village, where the pressure was highest, with the 4 beast girls.
Kerstin’s party was in charge of defense here, but they couldn’t keep up with the numbers.
I saw them almost lose the barricade to the ‘another world monsters’.
Kerstin and the others were on the rooftops, picking off the ‘another world monsters’ from above, but their firepower wasn’t enough to stop the tide.
”Kent! You came to help! Thank you! Sorry… we were about to break. The portable light machine guns Aida made can’t kill them. And the Beast Monster’s Hammer, the Rapid Hammer, is too powerful and runs out of ammo… We were thinking of retreating.”
”Then, you guys provide support. These girls, according to Mr. Clayd, are pretty damn skilled. We’ll charge out and thin out the horde. We’ll cut down their numbers.”
”O-Okay. If it gets too dangerous, fall back inside the barricade, okay?”
Kerstin and the others watched as I, along with Feche, Iola, Shiina, and Bera, charged past the barricade.
Beyond the barricade was a mass of ‘another world monsters’, their silver hides gleaming dully.
Without hesitation, I switched my Explode Gunlance to gun mode, and the 4 beast girls each found their targets and attacked.
Fwoooon… ratatat, tatatat.
The Explode Gunlance’s firing mode kicked in, and I pulled the trigger, turning the ‘another world monster’ charging at us into a swarm of shredded meat.
My Gunsmith and Gunner job levels had gone up on the expedition, so even the tough hide of the ‘another world monster’ couldn’t stop the bullets from piercing straight through.
”Kent! Leave that one to me!”
The ‘another world monster’ behind me exploded like a watermelon, spraying body fluids everywhere.
It was Kerstin, who had advanced near the barricade, who fired the shot.
”Thanks. That helps. I’ll leave the ones trying to break through the back to you guys.”
”Got it! I’ll guard your back, Kent.”
Kerstin gave a thumbs-up in response.
Most of the ‘another world monsters’ rushing the northern entrance were small- to medium-sized.
There were a lot of them, but with gunfire, pushing them back wasn’t impossible.
With Kerstin’s backup, I started mowing down the ‘another world monsters’, and the pressure near the entrance began to lessen.
As soon as I confirmed the enemy pressure had dropped, I decided to issue new orders to draw the enemies in.
”Alright, we’ve hunted enough for now. Feche, Iola, Shiina, advance and cause chaos while drawing them into the kill zone. Bera, support me and hit the kill zone with all your area magic. Kerstin, focus fire on the kill zone 50 meters ahead!”
””””Roger!””””
I gave new instructions to the 4 beast-girls.
Feche, Iola, and Shiina moved forward, drawing in the enemies and successfully luring them into the kill zone, where multiple lines of fire crossed over.
Kerstin and the others were already set, ready to unleash gunfire on the kill zone just as I’d instructed.
The 3 led a stampede of ‘another world monsters.’ Nearly 50──big and small──tearing after them, churning up clouds of dust.
Then, the front line hit the kill zone I’d planned.
”All 3 of you──down! Everyone, open fire!”
On my command, the 3 sprinted and slid right over, monsters snapping at their heels.
My shots and Bera’s sweeping magic lit up the monsters at the front──bodies burst apart, bits flying everywhere, a rain of dead ‘another world monsters.’
Kerstin’s portable machine gun rattled, mowing down the stragglers.
Elitzina blasted explosive shells from her custom launcher for good measure, blowing apart whatever was left.
The 50 monsters chasing those 3?
Total wipeout.
Not a chance.
They just vanished under bullet rain and explosions.
”Cease fire! Now!”
As soon as I shouted to stop, the smoke and dust started to settle.
When it all cleared, the ground was littered──wall to wall──with heaps of silver corpses.
”Whew. That’s most of the northern horde gone. Oh hey──Feche, did you scrape your cute butt? Let me Heal that for you.”
I spotted the 3 beast girls who’d slid in like action heroes.
Their butts had little scrapes, so──time for some Heal.
”Eh? Oh, no, I’m fine. Really, it’s not──hey! Hyaah!”
I placed my hand right on Feche’s soft, round butt.
Squeezed, just a bit.
Cast Heal.
And hey, might as well──my other hand stroked her tail, smooth and gentle.
”Oh, wow. Not bad at all. Pretty nice, I’d say. Yep, yep.”
”Fwah!? Not here… Sir Kent, don’t touch my tail… ahh… The enemy’s still──”
Feche squeezed her thighs together, fidgeting as I teased her tail.
”Alright then. Iola, your turn──let’s see that butt.”
Same deal──I cast Healing Magic while enjoying every curve.
And of course, I stroked Iola’s sleek, jet-black tail too.
”Mmm…nnngh…haah…Sir Kent…this is… embarrassing… mmmph!”
Iola’s body trembled, then *BAM!* She recoiled, collapsing onto the ground.
Guess I had to heal her butt wound while idly playing with Shiina’s little tail.
”Sir Kent…Feche and Iola and Bera are watching… Ahhh, your fingers… are in… ooooh…ahhh”
Shiina hid her face, mortified.
”This is the power of Sir Kent, said to be equal to Sir Clayd… To be joking around like this, even after facing a horde of ‘another world monsters’… What courage…”
”Nah, Kent’s just a pervert. But yeah, he *did* get stronger.”
Kerstin, having crossed the barrier, was talking to Bera, who was impressed by my guts.
