While we waited in the reception room, we looked at the furnishings.
”This is my first time at Lina’s house, but there are quite a few magic-related artworks, huh?”
”It’s my papa’s hobby. If you go to the warehouse, there are even more strange magic tools lying around.”
”Oh, I bet some of them are quite expensive.”
”Compared to the furnishings at my elder sister’s house, these are cheap.”
I was sipping the tea that had been served while listening to their conversation.
Clatter.
The door opened, and Sebastian entered with 2 Rakshasa men who looked to be in their late thirties.
”I’m sorry to have kept you waiting. Lord Blackdagger and Lord Kent.”
The one who spoke had slicked-back silver hair, a small but well-proportioned body, and sharp, razor-like eyes without any signs of middle-aged weight gain.
The other man next to him looked like he could be Lina’s mother, but due to the Illusion Glasses, he only appeared as a middle-aged, overweight guy.
The men settled onto the sofa.
It seemed Sebastian bowed and left the room.
”Well, Sir Cefiro, Lady Laina, it’s been a while. I’m Miriallia Blackdagger. I always appreciate your daughter, Ms. Lina.”
”No, no, I’m more worried about whether our Lina is causing any trouble for Lord Blackdagger. By the way, the man next to you is the one…”
The man called Cefiro responded to Milly’s greeting.
The middle-aged, overweight man, presumed to be Ria, only gave a slight nod.
I was unsure if I should greet them, so I was grateful that Milly brought it up.
”Yes, Sir Cefiro. This is my owner, Sir Kent.”
”I’m Kent, the owner (master) of Miriallia. Please remember me from now on.”
I bow towards Cefiro.
”Um… Lord Kent, since you are the owner (master) of Lord Blackdagger, does that mean you will be taking the Blackdagger name in the future?”
”Sir Cefiro! That hasn’t been decided yet… That really depends on Sir Kent’s feelings.”
Milly seems flustered by Cefiro’s words.
I wonder if Milly thinks I’m not good enough.
Maybe a man without the ability to support a family can’t be relied on?

”Kent…”
I spoke my thoughts out loud.
”Oh. So, you will indeed take the Blackdagger name. By the way, I would like to know the purpose of today’s visit, as Sebastian only mentioned it was an important matter for both families.”
Cefiro’s already narrow eyes seemed to narrow even further.
Although Cefiro and the others welcomed us with a seemingly friendly attitude, I couldn’t tell what they really thought inside.
I felt it was dangerous to choose my words carelessly and needed to be cautious in discussing the matter.
Just as I thought that, Lina started to speak.
”Papa, Mama. Actually, I did something terrible to Kent, and now I have to offer my body as atonement.”

Laina raised her voice hysterically at her daughter’s sudden statement and attitude.

Lina blushed while fidgeting.

Laina’s voice trembled.

Cefiro was furious, and the confusion escalated.
In the midst of the chaotic room, only Milly remained calm and began to restore order.

When Milly spoke in her calm voice, both Cefiro and Laina seemed to settle down a bit.

Cefiro responded with a bitter expression on his face.
”Yes, to think that he would defile our Lina and then ask for Lana as well, he’s truly shameless!”
Lina’s father, Cefiro, and her mother, Laina, were both shocked by the news that their daughter had been taken advantage of.
But now, Laina was regaining her composure and becoming agitated again.
”Papa, Mama, Kent’s card color is [red]!”
Feeling that this situation wasn’t going anywhere, Lina played her trump card.
””Huh?””
The parents’ voices harmonized in surprise.
”Yes, it’s [red]!”
Cefiro and Laina looked bewildered, unable to comprehend their daughter’s words.

While looking at my card, Cefiro narrowed his eyes in thought, and Laina whispered something to him.

Milly declared this to Cefiro.

Then, Milly, who had been watching the situation, suddenly spoke up.
”My master, Sir Kent, has a chronic illness. So, I expect Ms. Lana to also take on the role of caregiver, and I hope you can agree to that.”

Laina also looked surprised upon hearing Milly’s words.

”W-why, Father… am I unwanted…?”
Lana’s face turned pale as she trembled.
”Lina has already received Lord Kent’s seed. Even if we disown Lana, there won’t be a problem as long as Lina can bear a child.”
”M-Mother too… am I really unwanted…?”
Watching Lana, who seems to be abandoned by her parents, pains my heart, but I think this is the only way to incorporate Carrier (skill user) Lana.

After that, we were urged to go home, barely managing to greet Lina and Lana’s parents.
It seemed like Cefiro and the others were really eager to have Lina and Lana.
Still, that sudden change made me realize once again how powerful card colors are in this world.
The Dorman family prepared a carriage for our return, but Lana sat as far away from me as possible, looking down.
When we got home, Feria and Annabella had returned after greeting the magic guild and the clinic.
