My father-in-law had been clenching his fists for a while.
”By the way, Kent. Today, I’m going to give a gift to my son who became a general.”
My father-in-law, who had been serious, suddenly started to smile.
This smile means he is going to give me some troublesome task.
”No, that’s okay! I’m busy with other work, so I should take my leave now. Come on, Milly. Let’s say goodbye to father-in-law.”

I was tricked!
It’s not a beautiful lady at all!
I was foolish to trust my father-in-law.
But the Blackdagger family never has a shortage of talent.
Given his ability to defend the western garrison, he appears to have considerable skill in battle command.

”Is Mr. Fristoph single?”

”You want me to marry someone? … From Lord Kent?”

Fristoph looked a bit confused, but Milly was especially eager.
She said she would go home first to find a suitable girl from Godard of the right age.

”Okay. Mr. Fristoph, I will find you a wife who will inspire you and work hard.”

Fristoph’s marriage was decided, but after that, my father-in-law brought up something outrageous.
”Well, actually, Kent. When Kent was appointed General of the South…there was a condition from the royal capital. The General of the South was told to procure his own soldiers at his own expense.”
”What? Aren’t garrison troops being dispatched from the royal capital?”

I was handed the seal and letter from my father-in-law.

[Controlling subordinates]… Consumes 10 skill points to increase the friendship level of subordinates to a certain value.
Up to a certain point, my Handsome Guy skill doesn’t work on men, so I guess this is a necessary skill to secure the loyalty of male subordinates.
And so, I became a general of the kingdom without a single soldier under my command.
It’s good that he got the job, but he’s worried about his future as a lord and general.
Thinking about such things, I left the castle with Fristoph and returned to the mansion.
