I turned my gaze from Milly to Hector.
Hector was standing there completely n*ked in my sight.
Damn!!
I don’t want to see that guy’s n*ked body!
My eyes are going to rot!
I decided to look at Milly and the others to recover from the damage to my eyes.
Right now, I have obtained paradise.
This is a dangerous item that I cannot share with anyone.
If Lina finds out, she will tear me in half.
This needs to go into my secret storage.
”How was it, Sir Kent?”

Saying this, Hector went back to appraise a new item.
I decided to keep the ‘X-ray Glasses’ for myself and put them in my secret storage, which is the inventory.
I called up the menu screen to display my status.
The inventory appeared in my view.
Then, I focused on ‘storing’ the ‘X-ray Glasses’ in the displayed inventory.
Then, the ‘X-ray Glasses’ I was holding disappeared, and a picture of the goggles was added to the inventory.
Phew, it worked.
Even though I heard about it from Lina, it’s nerve-wracking to do something I don’t usually do.
I had forgotten about the inventory feature until Lina, who recently started researching ‘Lost One’, asked me about it.
It seems that this inventory feature is not available to the people of Grimoire, and Lina questioned me after reading about it in the ‘Lost One’s diary.’
The inventory can hold up to 20 items.
Each item takes up one slot, so I can store as many of the same item as I want, but different items consume new slots, making it a bit inconvenient.
Moreover, it seems that time passes inside the inventory, so it’s not very suitable for storing perishable items like food.
Of course, only I can take items out or put them in.
Since this was a subtle inventory, I named it the secret storage and made it a place to hide things that would be bad if Milly and the others saw, like spare weapons.
The only one who knows about it is Lina, and I’ve made sure she won’t spill the beans (by providing her some service), so it shouldn’t leak.
Besides, even if it did leak, only I can access it.
After putting the ‘seeing glasses’ in the inventory, I was asked about Hector’s items by Milly, who had just returned from Lina’s place.
”Kent? Did Hector find something?”

”Oh, I found a hot tub (jacuzzi). Kent, you like baths, right? I thought you’d want it, so I brought it along. We’ll install it in the new place. Look forward to it!”

Hector, who ran over to Lina, also let out a scream.
”Yes! This is the ‘dowsing rod’ that is said to be able to find water veins without fail! I can’t believe it actually exists…”
I didn’t think that the two thin metal rods that Lina had were such amazing magic tools.
”Kent… this is a big discovery. The existence of the dowsing rod, which was doubted, has been discovered. Now we can find Kent’s favorite hot spring.”
”What! Hot springs?! If there are hot springs in the territory, I’ll definitely bring them to the castle! “

When Hector, covered in the cloth, spoke a command word, he disappeared.
For now, I touched the area where he had been before he vanished, and I could feel something.
No way… a cloth that makes you invisible… I had given up on mental magic for invisibility because it was race-specific… I can’t believe such a wonderful magic item exists…
Eventually, Hector, who had spoken the command word, reappeared.
”Sir Kent, what do you think? I believe this will be quite useful.”
”I want to try it. Let me borrow it.”
I took the ‘Invisible Cloth’ and asked him to teach me the command word.
Then, I covered myself with the cloth and spoke the command word.
From inside the dark cloth, I could see outside.
”Am I invisible?”
”Yes, you are. I can’t tell where you are.”
It’s not that I don’t trust Hector’s words, but I sneaked around behind him.
Since he wasn’t following my gaze, it was clear I was not visible.
Then I decided to conduct another experiment.
I focused on the glasses icon in my inventory for the ‘X-ray Glasses’ and imagined taking them out.
Then, the ‘X-ray Glasses’ appeared in my hand.
To continue the experiment, I put on the ‘X-ray Glasses’ again.
And the experiment was a success.
In front of me, I could see Hector’s dirty backside.
Despite the great damage to my eyes, I was happy about the success of the experiment.
With this equipment, I can peek without any shame!
I can totally do it!
Moreover, since the cloth blocks my line of sight, there’s no risk of being caught!

I put the ‘X-ray Glasses’ back in my inventory and spoke the command word to cancel the invisibility status.

So, I decided to store the ‘invisible cloth’ in my inventory.

After a while, the appraisal of the magic tools was finished.
I moved to the reception room to have some tea and hear the results.
”Ah, I’m tired…”
”Good job, Hector.”
”There was a mountain of them, you know. Little Lady.”
”Elder Sister, you can’t hoard things in the new house. We’ll sell anything unnecessary that we get from hunting right away! Right, Ms. Annabella?”
”Y-yes, that’s true. Hoarding this much would be… a hassle to clean up.”
Milly’s hoarding habit needs to be fixed.
Her catchphrase is that she thinks she’ll use it someday.
”No hoarding allowed, Ms. Milly!! Okat?”
”Are you even telling me to do that, Kent? We might use it someday!”
”Isn’t ‘someday’ what led to this big task now, Ms. Milly?”
”Ugh, yes. I’m sorry…”
Milly looked embarrassed.
Since she probably won’t be hunting solo anymore, she can leave the items she get from hunting to Annabella or Feria, so there shouldn’t be any hoarding.
”Well, thanks to Lady Miriallia’s hoarding habit, we suddenly have a lot of good items, so it’s a big help for us.”
”Just don’t undercut me too much.”
”I understand. The purchase amount will be 2 hundred gold coins. Once sold, I’ll deposit the payment into your account.”

Annabella asked to transfer the payment for the items she entrusted all at once.

Hector finished the transaction and left with his horse-drawn carriage.
The mansion was now empty and quiet.
While we were appraising the magic tools, the other members had finished moving out.
Today was the day I would say goodbye to this mansion.
As the place where I had spent the most time since coming to this world, I had a certain attachment to it. But starting tomorrow, I would be living with my people as a Lord.
I was anxious and still didn’t fully understand what I was supposed to do, but at the very least, I wanted to avoid causing my people any more suffering.
