Volume 7 Chapter 15 Interlude: Encounter With Sazukrain
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
Sazukrain, who successfully created the ‘Divine Child’, sent it to the adjacent human continent rather than the Demon Continent where Orphée Bleu resided, leading the humans there to invade the Demon Continent and instigate the First Demon-Human War, attempting to capture Orphée Bleu, but ultimately only managed to trap Orphée Bleu in a different dimension.
Then, when the ‘Divine Child’ they sent to the surface reached the end of its lifespan, the demon clan turned against the humans, sparking the Second Demon-Human War, and the human race was driven out from the Demon Continent.
Now, it is said that due to a massive Barrier Magic performed by the Demon Lord Arsella Dorman, interference from the celestial realm and invasions from the human continent have become impossible.
”Wow, there was such a history, huh…”
”Yeah, Orphée fell from grace thousands of years ago. They managed to seal him in a different dimension about 2 thousand years back.”
”In that case, isn’t it odd to call Feria a Divine Child? Isn’t there a lifespan set for Divine Children?”
”Feria isn’t a pure Divine Child. Many of the bloodline have Divine Race traits, and Feria just happens to exhibit the most pronounced Divine Race traits among them. Well, I could manage that level of interference. Still, it took an enormous amount of time.”
Sazukrain casually replied as if it were nothing.
”Just as Orphée Bleu created Kent’s vessel, I crafted the vessel named Feria. However, since the objective has been fulfilled, I’ll give that girl to you. Please take good care of her.”
”Don’t treat Feria like a tool! She’s my precious wife!”
I was irritated by Sazukrain’s attitude.
She generally treated people with coldness.
If this is how she sees herself as a deity, maybe the celestial realm is just as unchanging as the world I used to live in.
”That’s true. By the way, what about you?”
Sazukrain put the jewel back in her pocket and conjured up a large sphere with both hands.
”What do you mean by ‘what to do’?”
”It’s about which world you choose. Left is ‘the world where you live as Kent Blackdagger in Grimoire’, and right is ‘the world where you live as Kento Horikawa in your original world’. I’ll let you choose as a thank you for getting Orphe back. I can barely interfere with your life in Grimoire because it’s on the Demon Continent, but I can interfere as much as I want with your original world. I can also offer you a life as the richest guy in the world, surrounded by gorgeous women, but what will you do?”
”No brainer. My ‘reality’ is on the left!”
I chose the left without hesitation.
A good life doesn’t mean anything in a world without Milly and everyone else.
I want to live with them in that place.
Besides, I can’t leave my child behind and go back.
”Yeah, well, I figured you’d say that. If you choose to live in that place, I’ll erase this one. Go live as Kent Blackdagger.”
Sazukrain crushed the sphere in her Right Hand and tossed it into the void.
Then, she handed me the sphere in her Left Hand.
”Alright, I will. And you, don’t get too cozy with Orphe. You know, he might run off again.”
”Don’t worry about that. I’ll make sure he can’t escape.”
Sazukrain grinned.
I took a step back, feeling a terrifying intensity in her expression.
EEEK!
That Yandere is scary…
I’m not the only one who wishes this kind of obsessive god would just stay in the heavens and leave us alone, I think.
”You were just thinking you don’t need a Yandere god like this, weren’t you?”
Sazukrain called me out.
”Yeah, I totally don’t need it.”
”Well, since you’re also a part of the gods, I’ll put the Demon Continent under your jurisdiction. When your life ends, you’ll become the guardian god of that place. This is an order from the Supreme God. Your name will be ‘Kent, the God of Love and Pleasure,’ inheriting a part of Orphee’s name.”
Sazukrain even pushed her job on me after I died.
She even told me to become a god and protect the Demon Continent.
Am I the only one who thinks this sounds like a pain in the ass?
”The church is already built, and there are worshippers, so everything is just fine. Of course, you’re free to live however you’d like while you’re alive. I have no intention of interfering in the world without Orpheus, so feel free to become the Demon Lord and unify the Demon Continent or do whatever you want.”
”I’m happy as long as I can enjoy my life with Milly and the others. I really don’t want to hear about being the Demon Lord or anything about gods.”
Sazukrain looked at me with a surprised expression.
”Oh. I thought you were being serious about being a Lord, so I assumed you were aiming to be the Demon Lord, but it looks like I was wrong. It’s all good either way.”
”It’s best to leave the Demon Lord business to Shifa. I’m just here to have a good time.”
”Right. Well then, just do your best in your own way.”
Sazukrain tossed out her words with a straight face, and suddenly my mind began to feel foggy.
