Volume 2 Chapter 57 Return, East End
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
For Kian, it feels nostalgic.
”Actually, I have to return to the fortress soon. You might not have heard yet, but the Knights of the Sun’s succession ceremony is happening soon──”
”Wait. The captain quitting the Knights of the Sun!?”
”Yes, she said she would return to her territory to take care of her father.”
”Did you talk to her directly!?”
”Yes. ──We have many connections.”
”Oh…, Kian, you’ve grown so much since I last saw you.”
”I’ve only made more acquaintances. I haven’t changed that much.”
Kian said that, but Aliona shook her head.
”It’s important to widen your circle of people. It’s very important for your future. Your work must be tough, but this is a crucial time. Do your best. I’m cheering for you from the shadows.”
”Thank you.”
”But…, yes. She’s quitting. She’s still young…. She wishes to stagnate like me.”
Well, regarding the title of Knights of the Sun, since the holy sword is choosing the next master, there’s no choice but to pass it on.
Kian understood, but Aliona did not know this fact.
He hesitated to speak about it, unsure if it was good information to leak here.
After much thought, Kian decided to stay silent.
”Back to my story, I got hired as a guard for the succession ceremony, and I’ll be staying at the fortress until the ceremony is over. So I won’t be able to return to East End for a while.”
”Is that why you’re here today? Thank you for being so polite. …So, what about tonight?”
Aliona tossed her golden hair back, revealing her pointed ears.
The sight of her white neck stirred desire, but unfortunately, he couldn’t stay here since he was waiting for Christy.
”I’m sorry. Once I finish my work, I will definitely come back.”
”Well…. Because there’s a monastery, I can’t just leave. I can’t fly to the fortress due to a contract with the previous Margrave.”
Kian wonder what he did to make such a contract, but he gently embraced Aliona’s slender shoulders to satisfy her womanly desires.
The elven sister blushed, letting out a soft “Ah…”
”S-Stop, I’m sweaty from work.”
”Ms. Aliona’s sweat has a pleasant scent. It’s calming.”
”Oh, that’s right, Kian, you have such a kinky fetish, don’t you?”
He forcefully took her lips, his arms tightening around her as he kissed her plump lips passionately.
She stiffened at first, but as he parted her lips with his tongue, her body relaxed.
She began to eagerly swallow his saliva.
As the distant voices of the nuns singing echoed, the two clung to each other, their tongues entwined.
”…Hey, we’re outside!”
”Sorry, I couldn’t hold back.”
”Should I… suck it for you?”
”We’re still outside.”
”Oh, right, we are.”
Aliona showed no sign of embarrassment, caressing Kian’s groin with a lustful expression.
She whispered in his ear…
”Until work is over, save that thick load of c*m for me. Don’t release it. All of it, every drop, will go inside my pussy later.”
”Just your pussy? What about your mouth or your ass?”
”I don’t know… If I get in the mood, I might just say yes.”
”You might drain my balls completely.”
”Hehe.”
Aliona playfully licked Kian’s lips.
The voices of the nuns singing from the direction of the grape vineyard grew louder.
”Now, are you going to greet me only? Or are we discussing a trade of medicine and herbs?”
”Then, I’ll take the hemostatic ointment… Also, I actually have a question for Ms. Aliona.”
”Oh, what is it?”
As Aliona began walking towards the catacombs, her voice returned to its usual tone, asking Kian’s question.
Kian stood beside the elven sister, pausing for a moment before continuing.
”About ‘Thorn Demon’ and a person named ‘Judicus’…”
”──────────”
Aliona froze in her tracks.
When Kian stopped, she stared back with a serious expression.
”Where did you hear that? Hardly anyone should know the alias ‘Judicus’, let alone ‘Thorn Demon’.”
”So you do know?”
”Kian, you were using vampire magic, right?”
”Yes.”
When Kian nodded, Aliona’s gaze became probing.
”Why do you want to know about ‘Judicus’? It’s dangerous, so stop.”
”It’s not calm to say that knowing itself is dangerous.”
”I’m serious. You’re not thinking of becoming a vampire, are you?”
”I have no intention of becoming a non-human.”
Kian shook his head and decided to tell her everything in order from when he revisited ‘Labyrinth of Roses’.
* * *
A few minutes later──.
After summarizing his adventures with Oswald and the story of checking the registration records at the fortress (he blurred Oswald’s existence as much as possible), Aliona let out a long, long sigh.
”I see, so you found ‘Judicus’ in the registration.”
”Yes. So I didn’t find it while researching vampires; I learned about it as an extension of the Quest. I heard Ms. Aliona defeated ‘Thorn Demon’ alone; is that true?”
”The minions were taken care of by others, but I destroyed ‘Thorn Demon’. It was an ‘achievement’ accomplished through many causes and luck. Even if I say it myself.”
Aliona turned to Kian with a stern expression.
”What I’m about to say is a strong warning. It’s better not to investigate ‘Thorn Demon’ any further in that mansion. It’s taboo.”
”What do you mean?”
”‘Judicus’ is my friend. Her real name is Karthana.”
Aliona sighed again and squinted at the vineyard.
”Karthana was a very skilled magician and alchemist. Over 80 years ago, I was exiled after losing a political struggle in the royal capital of Franz. While traveling from church to monastery, I took up the adventurer’s trade, and during my journey, I met her. At that time, I was a bit rough around the edges, and to cut to the chase, I attacked Karthana on our first encounter… I thought she was dead. But Karthana was alive.”
”────”
(Let’s listen to her story without interrupting. If I interrupt, I lose.)
”I became interested in Karthana, who endured my serious magic. When we talked, we hit it off, and from then on, we became close friends. She said she came to Izerland to gather information about vampires. She was seeking detailed legends about a powerful calamity called ‘Thorn Demon.’ The reason was──’because I don’t want to die,’ she said. It was a concern I couldn’t quite grasp, as I have a long lifespan, but it seemed to be a supreme issue for Karthana. Her research into vampires… was clearly beyond mere hobby. It could even be called obsession.”
Aliona took a breath and twisted her expression.
”One day, she suggested exploring the ‘Labyrinth of Roses’ on the outskirts of the Eastern Forest. But I was working at the monastery at that time, so I couldn’t accompany her.”
”Did Ms. Karthana not come back?”
”No. She returned unharmed. She didn’t say anything about her adventure. Just, with a beaming smile, she kept repeating like a mantra, ‘This is the dream come true.’ She left East End 3 days later. She didn’t mention the reason either. However, when I pressed her, she said she was heading to the northeastern part of Izerland.”
”Northeastern part?”
”Yes.”
Aliona nodded with a solemn expression.
”The place where the ‘Thorn Demon’ appeared again. ──A few years later, the ‘Thorn Demon’ I defeated was Karthana.”
