Volume 10 Chapter 62 Caught in the Eyes of the Four Heavenly Kings
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
”Hmph. Neria, is it?”
They were deep within the encampment, positioned a stone’s throw from the walls of Orrid. Bandanzine, stationed at the far end of the command tent, was the first to sense the intruder. A heartbeat later, a shadow flickered against the canvas before Neria manifested in a kneeling position before Roldi.
”My deepest apologies, my Lord.”
”Never mind that,” Bandanzine said. “Get in here.”
At the General’s word, the shadow glided to the entrance and ducked inside. Clad in travel-worn gear that masked her silhouette, Neria – commander of the dark division and Roldi’s direct subordinate – stepped into the flickering torchlight.
”Speak. We are in the middle of a war council,” Roldi said. “Could this not have waited?”
”Forgive me, my Lord. The matter is dire. The assassination… it was a failure.”
Roldi’s brow furrowed. The gathered officers exchanged sharp, uneasy glances.
”Well, now. That is a rarity,” Bandanzine interjected, crossing his arms as a dark smirk curled his lip. “Not ‘aborted,’ but a flat-out ‘failure’?”
Though Neria served under Roldi, she held enough standing to have dealt with Bandanzine many times before. She didn’t flinch.
”I am well aware that my life is forfeit for such a lapse,” Neria replied. “However, I judged that the immediate sharing of intelligence was worth the shame of return.”
Roldi looked to Bandanzine, who gave a curt nod of permission.
”Report. Spare no detail.”
Neria recounted the previous night’s clash, detailing the man known as Klock Livorno¹. She spoke of his inexplicable abilities and the heavy mana flares she had sensed within the enemy camp.
”A traitor, a secondary ability from the target… and multiple heavy-hitters among the humans?” Bandanzine let out a long, weary sigh. The Demonkin officers grumbled, the tension in the tent rising like a tide.
”My apologies, Lord Roldi,” Neria continued. “Suzette was a plant I personally embedded within the human nobility. When contact was severed, I presumed her dead. I did not expect to find her in the enemy’s shadow.”
”Leave the girl for now. We’ll break her once she’s in chains. It’s this man who concerns me.”
”Klock Livorno,” Roldi said, his voice dropping an octave. “He is said to be a member of the Brave Knight².”
The atmosphere turned icy. The Brave Knights – the pinnacle of human martial filth. Bandanzine’s smirk vanished.
”So, they’ve deployed to the Eastern Front,” Bandanzine muttered. “If a Knight is there, we aren’t looking at a scouting party. We’re looking at the enemy’s main force.”
”General Bandanzine,” Roldi intervened, “I have faced this Klock before. The man has absolutely no detectable mana.”
Bandanzine’s eyes narrowed to slits. “Then he’s likely carrying a Black Mana Stone³. But if he truly wields two distinct abilities, he’s moved past ‘nuisance’ and straight to ‘Tier-1 Threat.’”
”It could be an artifact,” Neria added. “The dagger he carried had a design unlike anything in our records.”
”Speculation helps no one,” Bandanzine countered. “In theory, a Unique Skill⁴ is one-per-soul. But we know the legends. We cannot afford to be careless.”
”Are we suggesting… an Apostle⁵?”
The word hung in the air like a death sentence. Every officer present was an elite veteran, and most had the scars to prove they had survived at least one encounter with such a being. Bandanzine mused, “Let’s look at the board. We have the Goldfish Princess of the Sanctum. The Moon Court’s Monster. Asura of the Crimson Spire. The Forbidden Witch. The War-Maiden. The Wolf of the Abyss. That leaves the Paradise, the Fragments, or a Chosen One from the Grand Cathedral.”
The ‘Wolf’ was technically unconfirmed – intel brought by Parl Forestier, a man Bandanzine trusted about as far as he could throw him. To the General, the staff officer was a snake in the grass, and he made sure his men knew it.
”Assessment?” Roldi barked at Neria.
”The man used my own ability against me, my Lord. It wasn’t a trick. He opened a spatial rift with my exact signature and threw my strike back at me.”
”He stole your power?”
”No. I can still use my skill. It’s more likely he’s a Mimic – a copying type.”
”Copying?” The officers looked aghast. “If he copies General Bandanzine’s power, the front will collapse in a day.”
”It’s worse than that,” another added. “Imagine if he mimics Lady Primjune’s Glass Rain. The war would be over by sundown.”
Only the upper echelon knew the truth of the Stellar Skill⁶ – powers lent by the world itself. A single use could erase a thousand-man legion.
”He’s priority-one!” a general shouted. “He’s as dangerous as a Hero!”
”Simmer down,” Bandanzine growled. “Primjune’s power is a Stellar Skill. We don’t know if a human ‘Mimic’ can even touch that level of existence. Neria, you said you had him at first?”
”Yes. Once I drew him into my Vermin’s Path⁷, he should have been dead.”
”If he had a natural spatial skill, he would have fled,” Roldi reasoned. “The Mimic theory holds.”
”Perhaps,” Bandanzine said, his suspicion lingering. “But if he can store these skills, why didn’t he have a better counter-play for your trap?”
”There is one more thing,” Neria said, her voice dropping. “I cut him multiple times with a blade coated in Abyss-venom. It didn’t touch him.”
The tent went dead silent.
”How potent was the dose?”
”Lethal. A few drops would drop a behemoth instantly. It’s the raw ichor from the Abyss Lake. It’s a genetic poison – it kills or it mutates. There is no middle ground.”
Bandanzine leaned back, a dark memory flickering in his eyes. He’d seen the Abyss. He’d seen a man fall into a pocket of that water once; the man’s lower body hadn’t just died – it had warped into a mass of twitching, alien flesh before they could even pull him out.
”It’s a death sentence,” Roldi added. “We stopped the expeditions for a reason. If this Klock took that poison and didn’t turn… he isn’t human.”
”He slowed down,” Neria noted, “but he didn’t break.”
”So, he’s either got a freakish resistance, or he has a way to purge the unpurgeable,” Bandanzine said, slamming his knee with a sharp crack. He stood, and the officers snapped to attention.
”I’m taking charge of this. The Brave Knights are on the board. This isn’t a skirmish anymore – it’s a war of attrition. I’ll hunt this Klock down myself.”
The silence was absolute – until Roldi stepped forward, breaking rank.
”Wait. Leave this to me.”
”Lord Roldi, know your place!” an officer hissed, but Bandanzine raised a hand.
”I can do this,” Roldi said, his eyes burning with a desperate intensity. (I have to wash away the shame of the port…), he thought. “Let me do this.”
The officers glanced at each other. They knew Roldi was bleeding inside. His failure at the eastern port was a stain he couldn’t wash off, and he was a man who held himself to a lethal standard.
”Fine,” Bandanzine said. “If you’re that hungry for it, he’s yours. But Orrid comes first. Once the city falls, you have my leave to hunt the Knight.”
”Understood.”
The conversation shifted to the siege of Orrid. The old capital was a stubborn beast, its walls and terrain negating Roldi’s primary tactical advantages.
”We play the long game,” Bandanzine sighed, looking out toward the horizon. “I need to head back West soon, but rushing these walls will only fill the trenches with our dead. We wait. The enemy’s politics will kill them faster than our swords if we just give them the time.”
Even in a winnable war, a mountain of corpses would leave Bandanzine’s reputation in tatters. The factions led by Parl and Lady Primjune⁸ were far more dangerous than any enemy on the horizon.
”General. Is there some business to the west…?” Roldi asked.
”Lady Primjune and Lyla,” Bandanzine replied. “Word is they’re arriving in Shinnit. I have to go out to meet them.”
”Lady Primjune-sama, sir?”
Word had already spread about the arrival of Lady Delphina, the Demon Lord’s daughter. It was Bandanzine’s job to welcome them. Some rumors suggested they were already on the continent, though nothing was confirmed.
”Is Lyla-chan coming too?”
”What is it, Roldi? Do you have something against Lyla?”
”No, sir.”
Roldi looked genuinely irritated. (Don’t bother hiding it from me,) Bandanzine thought, then urged him aloud. “I won’t call it insubordination. Speak your mind.”
Bandanzine pushed for an answer. He had known Roldi long enough to recognize the man’s brewing dissatisfaction.
”…Then, if I may. Bandanzine-sama, how do you truly feel about that little brat stealing your seat as the head of the Four Heavenly Kings⁹?”
”Oh?”
”By rights, you are the Demon Lord’s right hand-the man they call the Second Demon Lord! You deserve that rank. Giving it to a child who hasn’t even reached her teens… I heard it was at Lady Delphina’s request, but it is pure tyranny.”
”Heh. So you’re pissed that Lyla is the first seat?”
It was beyond disrespectful. Bandanzine let out a short laugh at talk that would have gotten Roldi executed on the spot if Delphina-sama were listening.
”Roldi. Dain and I are both getting old.”
”Sir…!”
”He and I fought through the era of blood and fire. The future belongs to Lady Primjune. Lyla taking the first seat might be a bit early, but she is the symbol of a new generation.”
(The changing of the guard…) Roldi fell silent. He couldn’t argue with that. Bandanzine had told the officer corps many times that his retirement was on the horizon.
”Roldi. You will eventually serve them as your sovereigns. Remember that the loyalty you show me now belongs to Lady Primjune in the end.”
”Understood, General,” Roldi said.
”I’ll say it once more.” Bandanzine narrowed his eyes. “Whatever you do, do not cross Lyla. I won’t tell you not to look down on her because she’s a kid. But do not defy her. If you do, you will die. Every time.”
”……Yes. I am aware,” Roldi replied.
Roldi looked away, and the other generals wore equally grim expressions. None of them felt a lick of loyalty toward Lyla. It was only natural; she was an eight-year-old child. She shouldn’t even be in the army. Who would want to bow to a girl of unknown origin?
In the past, someone had acted on those feelings. They had been erased. Not by Lyla, but by the Demon Lord’s daughter herself.
”Is it true that Lady Primjune treats Lyla like her own flesh and blood? Could she really be…?”
”No. Lyla is a foundling,” Bandanzine said. “Lady Primjune was too young to have a child when Lyla was brought in. Besides, Parl is the one handling Lyla’s affairs. If you want to doubt someone, doubt him.”
Only Delphina and Parl knew Lyla’s secret. Even Dainheorl remained in the dark, laughing off her promotion to the Kings as his daughter’s rare moment of selfishness.
”Keep this under your hats. Focus on what’s in front of us. I’m worried about the silence from the Beast-Demon Tribe. Stay alert. We can’t let the Humans bring in reinforcements.”
”Yes, sir!”
* * *
”Oh, Master. I heard you were injured, but look at you now.”
A man lay on a bed, entangled with several girls. The room was thick with the sound of beating wings and the heavy, musky scent of s*x.
”Did you seduce Athena today? I bet you told her ‘this c**k is your new perch.’ Swapping us out day after day… while Suzette and Flavia are out shopping, Master is busy with his toys. And here we are, the ones being ignored, left to cry ourselves to sleep again… ♡”
Klock had finally returned to the Conro estate. He had barely been home a few hours before he was already surrounded by succubi. He lay on the soft mattress, watching tits sway as he enjoyed the attention of the harpy succubus, Athena, who wrapped her wings around him like a cloak.
”I woke up and it was already like this!” Klock snapped. “I got stabbed in the gut! I’m supposed to be resting!”
”My, my. Blaming the girl for your own wandering eyes? Even though it’s always the man who leaves the girl’s belly swollen… ♡”
The girls teased him mercilessly, knowing he was pinned down. Thanks to Primlena’s treatment, the pain was gone, leaving only a scar. Klock tried to fire back at Kispe, but his mouth was suddenly smothered by a soft, warm mass of flesh.
”Mmph! Athena, what are you doing? I’m not a chick in a nest!”
Buried in her cleavage and wrapped in her wings, he could barely breathe.
”Don’t be like that. You men love being pampered like babies, don’t you? Look… Mommy’s got some milk for you-“
”Your head is broken…!!”
Athena rubbed against him, her hips grinding with a wet, heavy friction that milked his c**k. When he finally pulsed inside her, his rod jumping deep in her womb, she nibbled his ear and pressed her ass against him to catch every drop.
”Ah~ ♡ It’s coming out! ♡ You always hit so hard. I can only get that feeling of my stomach being flooded with Klock. I think I’m going to end up just like Alice and Lady Kispe… totally addicted to you… ♡”
He was sweltering under the feathers. Athena was draped over him like she was guarding a prize, but Kispe peeled back a wing and leaned in.
”By the way, Master.”
”Hm?”
”Are you aware that an enemy has slipped into the city…?”
”…What?!”
Klock scrambled to pull his face out of the breasts, his eyes locking with Kispe’s violet gaze.
”It seems a filthy Dhampir¹⁰, someone who can’t control their bloodlust, has been nesting here for a while. I’ve heard there have been several ‘blood-draining’ incidents recently. It’s quite a grave situation.”
”Wait-a Vampire?!”
He ignored her “filthy” comment-she always had a sharp tongue. He tried to sit up, but Athena used her full weight to pin him back down.
”Ahhn~ ♡ No, Klock. You’re still so thick and hard inside me… ♡ No pulling out until I say so ♡”
”Hey, this isn’t the time! If that’s true, we need to find them! Where’s Suzette? Is she back from the shops yet?!”
Once again, soft flesh smothered his face. With his c**k still buried deep inside her, he was silenced by a face-paizuri.
”Honestly, Master. Here I am trying to have a serious talk, and you’re only interested in Athena’s tits. I think I’ll just go back to the Crimson Spire. I clearly wouldn’t want to intrude.”
”Wait, wait, wait!!”
He reached out to grab Kispe, but she giggled and danced away. The bed creaked violently as he struggled.
”No, no! Don’t look at other girls while we’re mating ♡ Look at me, squelch, squelch… ♡”
”Master is so cruel ♡ Even though I’ve given you everything, you won’t even give me a look… ♡ Are you bored of me already? Am I just a ‘convenient woman’ you call when you’re horny? ♡”
Athena continued to bounce, her narrow waist and heavy ass crushing him into the mattress as she kneaded his rod. He couldn’t help himself. He reached out and sank his fingers into her buttocks. A succubus never let go after just one round. Resigning himself to another finish deep inside her, he let the rhythmic pulsing of her walls take control.
Athena chirped happily as she saw him give in. When he squeezed her breasts, her cheeks flushed. “I’m all yours… ♡”
”Oh, look at that. The city is in danger, and Master thinks creampie-ing his mistress is more important. To think the man I gave my heart to was such a degenerate… I might just lose all respect for you… ♡”
Spurt after spurt. Kispe whispered into his ear while he emptied himself into Athena’s womb. The two succubi watched him, grinning as he spent himself.
After his second e**culation, Klock pushed the wings aside and grabbed Kispe’s slender arm.
”…Alright. Tell me everything.”
”Eek! ♡ Please, don’t be so rough! ♡”
Athena leaned in for a kiss, but Klock pushed her forehead away and sat up. Athena pouted at the sudden cold shoulder. Klock, a vein throbbing in his temple, grabbed her head and shoved it back down toward his crotch. Athena took him into her mouth with a “mgh,” her eyes widening for a split second before she obediently started sucking him clean.
”Master. Good morning ♡ Finally, you have eyes for me.”
”You want me to make you cry? I’ll stretch that ass of yours until you can’t walk.”
Even the “Princess of Asura” would weep if he really went at her. But she was a spirit; no matter how much he filled her ass, she’d be good as new the next day.
”Hehe ♡ I love it when you get all aggressive with a delicate girl like me. That pathetic look on your face… I just can’t get enough of it… ♡”
”……”
Kispe looked like a maiden in love. He yanked her arm, pulling the petite girl onto the bed. She tumbled down right in front of the rod Athena was currently cleaning.
”Fine. I guess you won’t be happy unless I make you scream every three days.”
He grabbed her ass firmly, kneading the flesh. With Athena still blowing him, he let his hands wander over Kispe’s curves.
”Kreis.”
”…Huh?”
”Kreis Borges. Rosalie Fennec. Those are the names of the Vampires in this city.”
She was always waiting for the perfect moment to mess with him.
It seemed she was treating today like a game, toyed with the timing of her big reveal just to see him squirm. Everything was unfolding exactly as Kispe had planned. Klock stood rooted to the spot, paralyzed, as the girl continued to mock him-pressing her lips against his once more and darting her tongue inside his mouth.
(…What is she…!?)
Kispe didn’t stop there; she began to slide off her underwear. She spread them wide, shamelessly flaunting the damp, unmistakable stains for him to see. It was a visceral display; just watching him with Athena¹¹ had left her own s*x throbbing with an agonizing heat.
”Master… you’re going to put me first, right? You wouldn’t possibly go off hunting vampires¹² and leave me all alone, would you?”
The safety of the town or a night of s*x. It was a choice she threw at him for no reason other than her own amusement. It was just another day of the succubi teasing Klock, leaving him hopelessly flustered and trapped in their games.

Summary:
Neria returns to the Demonkin camp to report the failure of her assassination attempt on Klock Livorno. The Demonkin generals, led by Bandanzine, analyze Klock’s mysterious ‘Mimic’ ability and his resistance to lethal Abyss poison. Roldi, seeking to redeem his past failures, successfully petitions to be the one to personally hunt down Klock after the siege of Orrid.
General Bandanzine discusses the political shift within the Demon Lord’s army as an eight-year-old girl, Lyla, takes his seat. Meanwhile, Klock returns to his estate and indulges in a s*xual encounter with his succubus harem. The scene concludes with the revelation of two vampires infiltrating the city.
But then, Kispe manipulates Klock by revealing her high state of arousal after voyeuristically watching his encounter with Athena. She uses this physical ‘proof’ to force him into a dilemma between his duties and her desires. The scene emphasizes the succubi’s playful but predatory control over their ‘Master’.

Character Insight:
Roldi’s character is defined by a rigid sense of duty and self-loathing following his failure at the eastern port. Bandanzine, while appearing cynical, shows a pragmatic and cautious side, recognizing Klock as a ‘Tier-1’ threat rather than underestimating him.
Bandanzine shows weary pragmatism by accepting the ‘changing of the guard,’ whereas Kispe reveals her deep obsession with Klock through mocking jealousy.
Kispe displays a classic ‘predatory teaser’ archetype, using her own vulnerability (arousal) as a tool for dominance. Klock remains reactive, highlighting his lack of resistance to their pace.
—
Behind the Scenes:
The mention of various Apostles hints at the wider geopolitical scale and the different power centers in this world (Sanctum, Moon Court, Crimson Spire, etc.).
The author uses the ‘foundling’ plot point to subvert standard inheritance tropes in demon-themed light novels.
The term ‘Kuroッチ’ in the raw is a phonetic pun on ‘crotch’ and ‘black’ (kuro), common in adult-oriented light novels.
