Volume 1 Chapter 15-2 Time Of Counterattack

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

 ”…So, you’ve come.”

Klock quickly walked down the stairs. He leaned his back against the wall on the first floor. His pose was trying hard to look relaxed, like he had nothing better to do.

 ”She’s here. Tiet.”

The wooden door opened with a loud sound. The one who entered was the familiar knight girl, Tiet. Outside, the sky looked free and wide. Klock wanted to run into that sky, but he hid that thought deep inside. His voice was lazy when he spoke.

”You’re late. You should come earlier.”

”Heh. Don’t rush me. I’ve been busy, you know. First, eat.”

It felt like a man in bed, speaking to a nurse who came to take care of him. Tiet didn’t seem to think that was strange. She closed the door and walked toward him, holding a tray.

”Today’s food is sweet boiled mountain vegetables. A girl at the inn made it. Have you eaten this before?”

”What? Do I look like I eat fancy stuff like that?”

Klock took the wooden bowl from the tray and drank some water. Then he grabbed the fork and began to eat. Since Tiet wasn’t the one who made it, he didn’t say anything about the taste. He just quietly ate and swallowed.

 He kept eating without stopping.

He was really hungry, so his hands moved fast. Tiet looked at him and let out a small happy sigh.

They had fought just a few days ago—thief and knight. But now, they were sitting like old friends. Their relationship had changed.

”Don’t eat too fast and choke.”

”I’m not a kid. I’ll be fine. Well, it kinda feels like I’m being looked after though.”

Tiet didn’t mind Klock’s rough way of speaking. That was just how he always talked. Still, it was clear from his words and his tone that he had become much gentler.

 Their bond was quiet, relaxed.

It must have grown after many close moments they had shared.

 ”What’s wrong? You’re acting nervous.”

 ”…Just eat.”

Klock noticed something strange. Tiet seemed restless. Her legs moved like she was shaking nervously. When he pointed it out, she stopped and put her chin on her hand.

Tiet hadn’t come just to bring food. She wanted something else—something that had become usual between them. She didn’t interrupt his eating, which showed she still had reason. But maybe it was instinct too. After all, she was still a young girl.

He finished eating and put the fork back on the tray. He picked up the wooden bowl again and drank more water. As if she had been waiting for that, Tiet moved closer.

No normal girl would do that. But maybe she thought it didn’t matter now. Maybe she thought, “He’s dying soon, so who cares.”

Women are supposed to act with grace.

Not because men say so, but because women often feel that they should. Even if they feel strong desire, they try not to show it. But someone like a prisoner waiting for execution? That kind of person is the perfect target for someone who wants to be honest with their feelings.

Before she could push him down, Klock moved first.

He took her shoulders and pulled her close. Then he touched her neck softly, like a kiss without sound.

 ”Mm… heh.”

He slowly pushed her down onto the floor. She didn’t fight back.

Maybe because Klock was finally showing some spirit, Tiet looked happy. She didn’t try to stop him. She just stayed still and let him do what he wanted.

She stretched out her tongue, trying to meet his.

He hugged her body close. His hand moved to her waist, touching the thin cloth that covered her. The fabric was easy to move and soft to touch. It was probably made for comfort and movement. But to Klock, it also made things easier.

Still, instead of teasing her more, he pulled the cloth down quickly.

 He always thought it strange.

Whenever her clothes came off, her body already seemed ready. That meant she had been thinking about this—maybe for a while.

 …What a wild girl.

If she was already prepared, then maybe her mind had been full of thoughts. Maybe she had looked serious and proper, but inside, she was just as wild as he was.

Tiet stood up for a moment. She took off her metal shoes and knee guards. She threw them toward the wall. Then she took off her tight shorts and sat down again, looking at Klock.

He didn’t want her to feel ignored. So he moved too.

Just in case, he touched her to check. She was already more than ready. He tried not to show surprise on his face. He stayed calm.

Honestly, he could skip all the steps before. She was clearly waiting.

 ”Ready now?”

”You can do what you want.”

She gave permission. So Klock pushed her shoulders gently, and she lay down without resistance.

He decided not to turn her over. That might hurt her pride. Instead, he leaned forward from above. He wanted to stay strong, but not too rough.

She always let him do as he liked.

But today, she seemed to let him lead. He felt like trying his best.

He remembered the time she laughed at him and called him weak.

Tiet was strong. Her power was something else. In a real fight, he had no chance. But here—in moments like this—things felt different.

For the last few days, she had looked tired after every time they shared these quiet moments.

 ”…Mmm…”

Tiet was now without her lower clothes.

Klock looked down at her from above. He moved close and pressed his body gently forward, the way they always did, without needing words.
