Volume 6 Chapter 61 Individual Judgments
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
”…Elna.”
The black cat princess fixed her with a stern gaze.
Yet the white cat princess remained utterly unfazed, drifting along with an air of nonchalance. While Lona had donned a loose sorcery robe and was fully prepared to venture out, Elna lounged on the bed in nothing but a simple dress.
”Are you really planning to stay here?”
Lona’s voice carried a note of reluctance.
Elna, however, ignored her completely. She turned away with a huff, staring off into the distance, her sulky anger plain to see as she refused any negotiation.
”Wake up already. At the very least, staying here isn’t an option.”
”And following you is even worse. If you’re going, just go.”
Lona looked up at Elna’s retort.
If words could still be exchanged, she thought, and opened her mouth to speak.
”You care about this guy that much? Have you actually fallen for him? If so, think again. He’s just a perverted lolicon creep. The kind of freak who gets off on sucking kids’ breasts.”
The black cat princess turned back.
Klock averted his face from her glare, feigning disinterest as if it were none of his concern.
”You’re wrong. What Elna values is her pride as a princess. And besides, Elna is an adult. Unlike you, Lona.”
She said it smugly, with a hint of condescension.
Lona pursed her lips in response. “Aren’t we twins?” she muttered.
It was a fair point. If they were twins, then either both were adults or both were children.
But Elna said nothing, simply twisting her body away and emphasizing her chest. Despite being twins, the difference was overwhelming—her ample bosom swayed with undeniable fullness.
The younger cat gritted her teeth and looked away.
The growth disparity was too glaring to ignore. Nature’s ways aside, among these twins, the white cat had matured first. Thus, Elna alone was an adult—at least physically.
”What’s this about a princess’s pride? If you’re royalty, shouldn’t you be punishing criminals?”
”You’re wrong. A princess should praise the efforts of the common folk and applaud the feats of warriors. You only see things from your own perspective, Lona—that’s why you think that way.”
Lona tilted her head in confusion.
Klock furrowed his brow similarly.
”Kuro… Klock was a bad person. Our encounters were truly difficult in so many ways. That’s the truth, and Elna won’t deny it. But his achievements matter more. The feat of defeating this Elna, you see.”
”…Huh? Where’s this sudden overconfidence coming from?”
”You’re wrong. It’s not like that. Elna is still just an apprentice. There are plenty of people in the world who could beat me one-on-one. But for Kuro, it’s impossible. The gap between magic-less Kuro and Elna is like that between a mouse and an elephant. You can’t bridge an innate difference like that, and Kuro defeating Elna would be a one-in-a-million fluke. Yet he seized that chance. Do you understand what a miracle that is?”
Klock nodded inwardly, clapping his hands in realization.
A strong person defeating another strong person was ordinary. Perhaps not entirely ordinary, but it was an event one could accept.
But a weakling landing a blow against the strong was different. Slaying a single dragon earned more praise than felling hordes of monsters. Her point, it seemed, was to commend Klock for managing to best Elna despite his shortcomings.
”I was shocked when I realized I’d lost. I bawled in my master’s arms as she held me. For about a month, there wasn’t a night I didn’t soak my pillow in bed. But now it’s different. Elna is an adult, after all—I can understand a man’s feelings. Kuro just loved Elna too much. If he went to such desperate lengths to defeat her, it’s only natural as a living being that he’d crave the cute and beautiful Elna afterward.”
Klock nearly crumpled in disbelief.
He’d thought it was something like a strong person’s perspective—sparing him as a reward for victory—but apparently not.
”I still think about it. If, after tending to the fallen Elna and waking her with gentle care, he’d kissed her softly and said, ‘You’re mine now,’ Elna would have kissed him back obediently, admitted she was spoiled, accepted her defeat in his warm embrace, and let him carry her off princess-style to some peaceful countryside. We’d walk hand in hand through unfamiliar landscapes, starting a life together as a couple, fumbling through shared days that deepened our understanding until one day Elna resolved to tell Mother she wouldn’t return home and that Lona should be the heir. Then we’d send a letter saying we’d visit with our healthy child and husband, and live happily ever after… But instead, he suddenly pinned Elnadown and forced a creampie mating. Even Elna would cry over that—it was sad, and it made Elna want to slap him!”
It was like a chant, words spilling out at rapid speed.
The princess’s declaration swept through the room like a chilling gust.
A breeze stirred the open bed curtains. Lona’s hair fluttered as she stood with her mouth agape in shock.
Nearby, Klock sat on the bed, pondering whether to slip back to his own room. He pressed a hand to his forehead, sealing his gaze behind closed eyelids.
”But he was just a boy, so it couldn’t be helped. In the end, it was because Elna was too cute. With defenseless Elna before him, it was natural, inevitable, and even obligatory for him to awaken to his male instincts. So that incident is forgiven. Kuro was healthy as both a warrior and a male. More importantly, Elna praises his efforts. To the one who endured Elna’s lightning, battered but fighting to the end, Elna offers her respect.”
With that, Elna smiled brightly.
Lona froze, eyes half-lidded and head tilted. Klock, feeling unbearably awkward, stared off into the distance, thinking she’d react that way.
”I-I don’t get it. You’ve really lost your mind. After what happened, your sanity must be…”
”Say what you will. Elna has decided to keep Kuro by her side as her caretaker forever. As Elna’s caretaker, no one will lay a hand on him. This is the reward for the hero Kuro. Lona. If you still have complaints—if you’re challenging Elna’s pride as a princess—then face me.”
Elna rose smoothly and approached her sister.
Lona backed away a step, then two, with a gulp. In terms of feminine charm and physique, the elder seemed superior, but what about actual skill?
At least for now, momentum put Lona at a clear disadvantage.
”…I don’t get it. Fine, whatever. I’m leaving.”
Overwhelmed like this, persuasion was impossible.
Lona’s shoulders slumped as she turned away.
She shot Klock a fierce glare for a split second, then bounded out of the room in silence.
In that final glance back, her expression was one of profound loneliness.
”Kuro, come here.”
Klock had been leaning against the wall, sitting cross-legged on the bed, watching it all unfold.
Called by her, he let out a quiet sigh, slow enough to go unnoticed.
He stood and walked to her side.
A human kept by a cat. The cat princess, his owner, smiled warmly, her cheeks flushing.
With a bounce, her breasts spilled free.
Her hair and skin were white, and the faint pink tips now exposed to the air gleamed softly.
”No one will blame Kuro anymore. From now on, Elna will protect you. It’s all right—Elna understands you perfectly.”
She understood, apparently. What, exactly?
She lifted him up, and he took her princessly breast into his mouth fully. Her hand tangled in his hair, tickling him.
Looking up, he saw the white cat princess blushing, smiling as if urging him to indulge more.
Don’t get cocky, he thought, teasing the tip with his tongue in circles. Not the suckling of an infant, but a man’s caress that drew a sultry sigh from her.
He nipped the nipple with his lips, smirking provocatively. The girl puffed her cheeks in mock anger, then smiled again, hugging him tightly and pressing her breast against him.
…
……
………
—No, this isn’t the time for this, you idiot!!
The tower, now empty of all but them.
In the sky-high home left to just the two, he awoke amid fluffy bedding.
His body lay on its side. Warmth like body heat pressed close.
Opening his eyes, he found two soft mounds of a girl’s flesh enclosing his face.
His breath bounced back from the valley. Soft snores whispered in his ear, the sound of innocent dreams. The comfortable embrace was so peaceful that closing his eyes threatened to scatter his thoughts and drag him back to sleep.
…No, no, this isn’t the time to sleep. Seriously.
It was an unfairly tempting setup.
If he could, he’d live here forever. He’d definitely have Suzette do this when he got back.
Somehow, he pulled away and sat up.
Princess Elna slumbered peacefully. Her breasts exposed in sleep created a sight that was erotic yet somehow not, but now wasn’t the moment to dwell on it.
He covered the white twin peaks with his hand, savoring the feel briefly before shaking off the reluctance.
But then, there was no time to fluff around with the cat princess.
He had to escape this tower—quickly.
If a rebellion had broken out, the rebels were all dangerous. If civilians stormed in, he’d likely be killed too.
Strangers weren’t allies.
Obvious enough. Even if Cianie was involved in the uprising, there was no guarantee other people favored Klock. Cianie might have said various things, but details wouldn’t reach the rank-and-file soldiers—common sense said as much.
Approaching a fight blindly could get you caught in the crossfire. Same idea.
In conflict, anyone not an ally was an enemy. So an unknown like Klock would be a target for elimination. Combatant or not didn’t matter. That’s why Lona had taken the other cat girls away.
”…See ya.”
With his recovered words, he bid a quiet farewell.
The tower held only them now. If he was descending, this was the moment. Trap or no trap, there’d be no better chance to escape.
He slipped out of the room quietly and hurried down the stairs.
He felt bad for Elna, but Klock had his own life to live.
Still, it was unexpected.
He hadn’t imagined Elna would shield him to this extent.
Her goal wasn’t revenge.
She’d rejected her sister’s opinions, the court sorcerers’ demands to kill or hand him over—every one, right in front of him, choosing to keep Klock close. To go that far required a special reason.
She’d called it her pride as a princess, but was that really it?
From Klock’s experience and intuition…
Well, probably pride.
She was young; it made sense.
In Klock’s mind, he settled on that as the answer.
If Klock were tried as a criminal, she’d become a true victim. But if he escaped judgment and was taken in as one of their own, that wouldn’t happen. Judgment and victimhood were linked; no judgment meant no victimhood.
Normally, the causation was reversed. Victimhood led to judgment—that was proper.
However, in terms of appearances, the logic reverses. No judgment means there was no victimhood. That’s how the world of the upper class works.
Elna is royalty. The information broadcast to the world has nothing to do with actual reality.
If the facade is established that Klock desired her and she decided to pamper him, then Elna’s dignity—her pride—is preserved.
Gotta fix that black history that’s already happened.
Elna wasn’t forcibly subjected to something terrible; she accepted it willingly.
That’s how it has to be to protect her pride. When you’re young, you stake your life on keeping up appearances.
Royalty and nobility make judgments like that.
This is why Klock was spared. It’s unclear how much Elna’s story has spread in society, but if Klock is punished, it would mean acknowledging that Elna was defeated and raped. Preventing that was one of her goals.
Her judgment isn’t strange.
It can be seen as one choice directed at those around her and the populace.
However, a single action doesn’t always have just one reason.
From Klock’s view, Elna’s appearance was that of a girl, despite being royalty.
She possessed the innocent thoughts typical of a girl her age. Otherwise, there wouldn’t have been such a ridiculous development as her offering her breasts.
Three months ago. At that time, she was ultimately defeated and r*ped, but it was probably her first time with intercourse. Since she’d never forgiven a male before, no matter the circumstances, she couldn’t help but develop a special recognition for Klock.
Resentful, and wanting to kill him.
That would be a major reaction for a woman.
But the opposite pattern isn’t that uncommon either. Klock has experience with that type.
Elna is the type who seeks an ideal in her assailant.
No matter the form, he was her first man. So she wants him to be her ideal male. She wants it to have been destiny, not a nightmare. A girl of her age, shedding tears over the unfortunate reality, still clings to a sliver of hope and expectation.
That’s why she couldn’t forget Klock.
So, the enslavement plan was executed, forcibly pulling him to her side.
She took away his words to narrow his perspective.
She even prepared a special slave mark to show he was her possession.
And showing her breasts and even giving him a h**djob was to make him focus on her.
She probably had extremely girlish ideals.
What she did was pretty harsh, but inside, her demands were just cute.
Look at me. Become mine. Like me.
Klock was just an adult being toyed with by a girl.
Lately, this kind of thing has been happening a lot. Ever since meeting Tiet, it’s been nothing but this.
That said, opening the lid, Elna’s pretty sharp too. Being r**ed and then seeking an ideal in the perpetrator is a fairly common pattern.
Klock once had a disciple.
A thief’s disciple. A dumbass who tried to pickpocket Klock, a thief himself. When he caught her, she turned out to be a girl, so he r**ed her as payback—that was their first meeting.
Afterward, he gave her advice as a senior: pickpocketing should target those who look rich, which types are easy, etc. He never had a hobby of hurting women, then or now; it was just a whim, and he planned to let her go after slipping up and talking.
But apparently, something in Klock’s behavior resonated with the girl. She begged to become his disciple, persistently following him. Calling him “bro” and pleading relentlessly, Klock eventually gave in and accepted her.
Man, young people—guys and girls—are idiots.
Like Valerie, like Elna; depending on the person, they’d just seem easy.
Well, it’s his fault they went astray.
As he thought so, he continued descending the stairs encircling the tower.
A level slightly above Klock’s room. He reached the room of the three neighborhood girls.
Peeking in, it was empty. Apparently, those three had left with Lona too, making for an abrupt parting despite their physical relationship.
He never even learned their names.
Still, he bid farewell inwardly. Another fleeting encounter.
”——?”
Suddenly, midway down the stairs, he stopped.
A hunch kicked in unexpectedly. A faint sense of something off naturally put his body on alert.
Slowly, cautiously, he advanced. Klock’s private room was right ahead. For some reason, he felt a momentary human presence, focusing all his senses on eyes, ears, and skin.
”——Sir Klock?”
If it’s an enemy, what then? If they’ve already come this far.
Wrapped in such tension, careful even with his breathing, he descended, and a carefree, high-pitched girl’s voice rang out without hesitation.
Apparently, someone was still left.
He sighed in relief and dropped his guard. Stepping into his private room, Klock said,
”…Meina?”
”Sir Klock!!”
His body suddenly grew heavy.
He staggered back a bit and hugged her in return.
The girl with disheveled golden hair made a smacking sound as she kissed his cheek.
”I finally found you!! Sir Klock, you’re safe!!”
A familiar voice and a cute appearance he hadn’t felt in a while.
He blinked several times, confirming it was indeed Meina. He wasn’t sure how long they’d been apart, but it felt incredibly nostalgic.
”No way. How’d you make it here? You surprised me showing up like that.”
”Hehe. Meina worked hard. Praise me, praise me~”
That fluffy vibe. This is Meina.
The brief gap closed as she jumped at him again, clinging.
She pulled his neck, and their lips slowly met.
”——Sir Klock. There’s no time. Come with me right away.”
”The rebellion?”
She said it in a low tone, cutting the embrace short.
She nodded at Klock’s words.
If it’s urgent, given the situation, it had to be that.
Danger was apparently closing in fast.
”I’ve heard it’s kinda bad. Give me a quick rundown of the situation.”
The golden cat pursed her lips straight and stared directly.
”Um, a big fight broke out. Meina was infiltrating Slomvanilla, but there was no chance to escape, so I was in trouble. Then the war started, so I used that to slip out and came straight here. I heard Sir Klock was imprisoned in the Cat Tower at the Forgotten Ruins.”
Huh? Oh? He nodded vaguely.
Sorting the info, he scratched the back of his neck. Reacting late to “infiltrating,” he realized she’d been taking dangerous solo actions to rescue him.
”And, um, the war probably has Lady Cianie’s hand in it. That incredible magic power and explosion sounds are definitely her. The people who came with her are probably from the town or other villages. Even people in normal clothes without weapons are attacking Slomvanilla… There are huge numbers clashing, and other villages are in danger too——”
”…Huh. They’re coming this way too?”
”They’re coming this way a lot. It seems like they’re attacking nearby villages too. The village I passed on the way here was pretty bad… Anyway, let’s escape somewhere for now!”
”Got it, got it. Let’s go then.”
He ruffled her head as she struggled to summarize.
Apparently, it’s a large-scale rebellion.
If they’re attacking villages all around, it might be uncontrolled. The scale has grown so big that it’s hard to manage.
Or maybe it’s intentional as part of tactics. He didn’t know the details, but staying nearby would definitely get him caught in it.
Leaving the room, they reached the landing.
The escape operation began. Looking back, Meina smiled brightly and gave a guts pose.
It had been a while since they’d met. Meina was basically his woman, so he thought about reaching out to feel her ass but restrained himself.
Instead, he ruffled her head again.
Saying “thanks for coming” was somehow hard, so this was the substitute.
As he messed it up, her cat ears flapped.
Alright, let’s go— but his feet wouldn’t move.
’From now on, Elna will protect you. It’s okay, Elna understands Kuro perfectly.’
”…Damn. Thinking unnecessary stuff.”
”…Sir Klock?”
He hesitated for a moment.
Klock had no firm beliefs. If anything, he was aware he’d lived by doing whatever came to mind.
If so, he had to move. Because right now, he felt like it.
She’d protected him that much. Whatever the circumstances or form, if a woman went that far for him, he couldn’t just brush her off.
He wanted to take the idiot cat princess with him.
Imagining leaving her here, spears pointed at her by the mob, made him hate it.
That girl who wanted his affection felt too precious to abandon.
”Wait here a sec,”
He said so and dashed off.
He was about to do something unnecessary. After all, no room to carry extra baggage.
But words floating in his head hindered his moving feet. Shaking them off, he ran up the needlessly long stairs, out of breath.
”Fnyaah. Ahh… n, Kuro? Where’d you go?”
Panting heavily, he reached the room, where she was stretching her arms in a yawn.
White cat princess Elna. She twisted her neck lightly, noticed her exposed breasts, and pushed her clothes up.
Way too carefree. What was she planning to do after this?
Pushing aside the bubbling question, he stomped over to her.
”We gotta escape quick.”
At the moment she was about to get off the bed, he scooped Elna up with a sudden yank, hoisting her onto his shoulder as if she weighed almost nothing.
She was surprisingly light.
Without another word, he turned and headed out of the room.
”Wait, Kuro? Escape? …Wait, why are you talking——”
”Don’t struggle!! The rebels are already that close!!”
She tried to break free for a second but quickly settled.
Looking left, it was her ass. He thought about spanking her if she resisted, but she seemed to grasp the situation fast.
The girl’s tail wrapped around his arm holding her.
”…They’re already here. I wanted to take it slower; it’s faster than I thought. So, how far are we escaping?”
”Huh? (As far as they chase) Everywhere!!”
Klock’s reply was rough as he hurried down the stairs.
Hearing it, Elna responded oddly: “Kuro, are you planning to elope with Elna?”
Not quite understanding what she meant, he thought about spanking her ass but reconsidered and instead grabbed and kneaded it firmly.
Damn soft. A plump ass like this would feel amazing from behind.
Swallowed by stray thoughts, slapped by the cat tail on his cheek, he ran down.
Descending a bit, a red sky appeared beyond the clouds.
It evoked flames of war. He understood that the peaceful time was truly over.
