Chapter 93 The End of the Search and Their Aggressive Advances

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

Prince Liam and his party split into two groups, searching every corner of my theater. But they found no sign of the kidnapped Princess Liliana, nor the two princesses of the Zahara Kingdom.

 Obviously not.

Pharma and Leela, princesses of the Zahara Kingdom, had used the magical artifact I developed—the [Ring of Transformation]—to change their appearances into completely different people. And as for Princess Liliana herself… she wasn’t even in this theater to begin with.

She’d been abducted by some criminal organization entirely unrelated to me.

 ”…Are you satisfied now, everyone?”

I slowly rose from the sofa and addressed the party as they returned to the entrance hall, their faces tired and defeated.

Elliot’s forehead showed his barely hidden anger.

”W-we’re not done yet!” he snapped. “With this number of people, we couldn’t possibly have searched every inch of this vast theater! We need more men—a thorough investigation! And there could be hidden rooms—!”

Elliot held on to his weak arguments like a drowning man grabbing at straws. But no one backed his weak protests anymore.

Certainly, the theater was large. But hiding someone leaves traces, and the places you can hide them are naturally limited.

 They’d found absolutely nothing.

Any further search would be nothing more than a pretext.

I spoke to Elliot as if reasoning with a child. He wouldn’t accept it, of course—but the others might.

”As you say, without more people, we couldn’t search every corner. But spending precious manpower and time here right now is a mistake. Don’t lose sight of the goal. Your true purpose is to rescue the kidnapped Princess Liliana as quickly as possible. If she isn’t here, then she’s imprisoned elsewhere. You should be searching the next location—immediately.”

”…Elliot. He’s right,” Prince Liam said, his tone measured. “For my part, I want to prioritize Liliana’s rescue above all else.”

Prince Liam seemed to share my opinion. He quietly—yet firmly, leaving no room for argument—scolded Elliot, who still looked like he wanted to object.

”—Yeah,” Aldrick chimed in casually. “There wasn’t any sign of Rebellion preparations here either. Guess both leads were dead ends.”

Aldrick spoke offhand, letting slip a troubling piece of information.

 ’Rebellion preparations’?

And ‘both leads’… so besides searching for Princess Liliana, they had another purpose in searching this theater?

”Idiot, Aldrick!” Elliot hissed—quietly but sharply. “Don’t bring that up here!”

I couldn’t let this slide. I asked Prince Liam directly for the truth.

”So you were using the search for Princess Liliana as a pretext to investigate the ‘rebellion preparations’ of my Grimlock family, were you?” I said, my tone carefully neutral. “Rather harsh, don’t you think? Have I done something to warrant suspicion?”

”…I’m not accusing you personally,” Prince Liam replied, his voice carrying the weight of authority tempered with diplomacy. “But your father, Gaius Grimlock—the head of the pro-war faction—has always been our primary person of interest. Don’t take it personally. This is for the kingdom’s security. Still… it seems there were no preparations for rebellion in this facility. I apologize for doubting you.”

 Well, I could understand that.

The conflict between the Peace faction and the pro-war faction already boiled in the open. Their suspicion of rebellion made sense. And if this world was built on the game… then war on a massive scale was coming no matter what.

(So Prince Liam isn’t as naïve as he appears. He either already suspects our rebellion plans, or at the very least, he’s deeply worried about them and acting accordingly.)

”Your Highness, there’s no need to apologize!” Elliot interjected, his voice dripping with contempt. “It’s highly likely this Zero Mana wretch was simply excluded from any significant ‘rebellion plans’ from the start! Hey, Grimlock! If your father ever tells you to assist in rebellion preparations, you report to me immediately. Got it?!”

Elliot shot me a threatening glare.

”I don’t expect my father would make such a request…” I replied, my tone deliberately calm. “But if, by some chance, he does, I promise to report it directly to His Highness Prince Liam.”

I was a bit annoyed, so I told him I’d report to his liege, not to him.

After that, I casually moved beside Elenor and gave her plump rear a firm squeeze through her dress.

”Hnh!—H-hey, you bastard!” Elenor protested in a small voice.

Elliot, immediately sensing what had happened, shot me a murderous glare.

 Heh heh heh.

That four-eyes bastard’s frustration was a beautiful thing.

And so the forced search of my theater—sparked by Princess Liliana’s abduction—ended for now. Having achieved nothing, Prince Liam led his tired Holy Knights back into the darkness of night.

As they departed, I quietly addressed Princess Liliana’s guard knight—

 Serena Crystalight.

Her face was slightly flushed in the lamplight.

”I’d like to assist in the search for Princess Liliana, however modestly,” I said, my voice smooth and earnest. “If you’d allow me… would you consider cooperating with me?”

Liliana’s search would from then on be carried out separately by the guard knights, the royal palace guards, and Prince Liam’s Holy Knights.

I needed to embed myself in one of those groups to stay informed.

”Grimlock-sama…” Serena replied, her voice soft and deferential. “To have someone of your caliber offer assistance… I couldn’t be more reassured. Yes. I would be honored.”

Serena said, her white cheeks flushing slightly.

(Good. I was right—there’s definitely interest there.)

I decided to fully seduce this innocent guard knight alongside the princess search.

Cecilia, Lizel, and Elenor watched our sweet exchange with distinctly sullen expressions.

 Now then—it was late.

Liam and his party had left, but with all this commotion, escorting Cecilia and Lizel back to their respective mansions at this hour seemed unwise. In the end, we decided to stay the night at the theater.

Mina and Kai, the sibling pair, along with the beastkin Kuuko and Lumiá, were already fast asleep in the clean staff rest area downstairs. My personal maid Lilia had perfectly prepared the exclusive VIP room on the second floor as a luxurious bedroom.

And in that room… I resumed my nighttime play with Cecilia and Lizel after so long.

”You will learn tonight, dear husband,” Cecilia declared, her voice carrying aristocratic confidence, “—in your very body—that you already have us.”

The two of them, burning with jealousy after watching me seduce Serena, were surprisingly aggressive tonight. With my loyal maid Lilia’s perfect support, I matched their fire with love and skill.

Sometimes, their aggressiveness wasn’t so bad.

 A passionate yet tender night—

Afterward, as Lilia tried to slip back to the staff quarters, I gently caught her slender wrist. And then, I guided her to our bed.

”Tonight,” I said softly, “you sleep beside me.”

Surrounded by three beautiful women, I drifted off to sleep with deep contentment.

In the quiet, the night deepened.

 —

 Summary:

The search party concludes their investigation of the theater empty-handed, having found neither Princess Liliana nor the Zahara princesses, though the protagonist knows exactly where they are. The conversation pivots when Aldrick reveals the dual purpose of the search—investigating Rebellion preparations—forcing the protagonist to navigate a political interrogation with Prince Liam while maintaining his facade. As the night deepens, the protagonist transitions from political maneuvering to romantic pursuits, seducing Serena while dealing with the jealous reactions of Cecilia, Lizel, and Elenor.

 —

 Trivia:

The [Ring of Transformation] is the artifact the Zahara princesses used to disguise themselves as completely different people.

The search had two purposes: finding Princess Liliana AND investigating the Grimlock family for Rebellion preparations.

The protagonist deliberately shifts his loyalty by promising to report directly to Prince Liam rather than to Elliot.

Serena is Princess Liliana’s guard knight and becomes the protagonist’s next seduction target.

Cecilia, Lizel, and Elenor all display jealousy when witnessing the protagonist’s exchange with Serena.

Lilia, the personal maid, is invited to share the bed after the intimate scene with Cecilia and Lizel.

The political factions—Peace faction and pro-war faction—are in open conflict, with Gaius Grimlock as the leader of the pro-war faction.

The world is built based on a game, leading the protagonist to believe that a massive war is inevitable.

The protagonist’s internal monologue reveals his strategy to use the princess search as cover for seducing Serena.

Despite zero mana, the protagonist compensates through magical artifacts, cunning, and manipulation.

Notes:

• Liliana – Known as the “Angel of the Asgard Kingdom” for her golden hair and sky-blue eyes, this princess is the younger sister of Prince Liam and Elenor. While maintaining a refined, angelic public facade, she is a manipulative mastermind who wields explosion magic. As Serena’s liege and the true culprit behind recent assassination attempts, she carefully hides her dark nature behind whispered, noble asides.

• Lilia – Xenos’s fiercely loyal, trauma-resilient Head Maid is a lovely, pale, busty woman with long dark hair, a chest tattoo, and a nullified crest. Dressed in a black uniform, she maintains refined, icy elegance when disciplining others, especially Elenor. While formal and efficient with guests, she masks deep, jealous anxiety for Xenos, finding her greatest joy in serving him and sleeping by his side.

• Liam – Liam Asgard, the golden-haired, emerald-eyed First Prince of Asgard, is Liliana’s older brother and the liege of Elliot and Aldrick. Betrothed to Elisabeth, he is an arrogant yet fundamentally kind man who speaks with elegant grace. • Serena – A competent, intellectual knight of the noble Crystalight family, this personal guardian to Princess Liliana is distinguished by long silver hair and an elegant, formal bearing. • Cecilia – The eldest daughter of the Vermillion Duchy and a former saint, she is Xenos’s fiancée and one of his romantic interests. Known for her flame-red hair, blue eyes, and pet, Lumiá, she possesses a cold yet playful nature. Though she rejected Prince Liam, she adores Kuuko and teases Lizel. Lilia shows no jealousy toward her. She occasionally uses a ring to adopt a revealing dancer’s disguise.

• Lizel – A petite, graceful Blanchet count’s daughter, wind mage, and academy student with pink twin-tails, purple eyes, and a signature smirk. Known for her protective, anxious tsundere nature, she is Luca Dalton’s fiancée, Grimlock’s classmate, and Cecilia’s friend. Disguised in a dancer’s costume, she walks the “Path of Light” and is one of Xenos’s devoted romantic interests whom Lilia does not resent.

• Kuuko – Beastkin staying at the theater. Already asleep in the staff quarters.
